Update 8/4: Anthony called me the day after my 1 star Yelp review. He apologized for not getting back to me stating his father was out of town leaving him to do it all and stated text is not the best way to get hold of him, rather call or email (which I didn't have since our conversations have been in person, call transfers from the # on Yelp, or through text). Anyway, Anthony let it be known he was made aware of my review (which is probably why he called back so quickly) and how it affects small businesses, etc. We came to an agreement that if he could get my quote to me by end of next business

All we can say is WOW! From design to dig, to step by step installation of the latest Hayward equipment, Jose Mejia's Coral Pool team were professional, caring, on budget and this was during a pandemic and with them having multiple projects at the same time! The responsiveness to detail and answering questions from us retirees, who watched daily as the work was being done, was exceptional. They worked with the city inspectors and took care of all that paperwork on top of it.

I've shared my experience as a warning to anyone thinking of hiring you. Buyer beware these guys are liars and the majority of their response is dishonest and false. I am not the first of your reviewers to call out your dishonesty and have the same issues and I sincerely doubt I'll be the last.

Our experience with Coral Pools and Spa has been nothing short from amazing. From my initial interaction with Jose and Anthony, to the team working on a day to day in the backyard. We sought quotes from a large number of pool contractors. The eliminated the outliers (both cheap and expensive). Many contractors don't have a show room and we're unable to show us tile samples and sent us to look at catalogs. There's a lot you can do to educate yourself on YouTube regarding who I've of colored plaster versus pebble finish. Coral Pool had an actual show room which gave us some peace of mind. The construction was right on schedule. The demolition occurred in phases, and the team cleaned up the debris nicely. We are very happy with the pool. It turned out

Anthony provided us with some general information about the job we were hiring them for. When we would ask for specifics after having already signed their contract, he often seemed annoyed and was not particularly friendly. He wouldn't respond to emails in a timely manner and would only answer some of our questions. Eventually, I got fed up with his lack of professionalism and stopped contacting him and started contacting Jose, who is the owner. I was hopeful

Nice people. Horrible job. I would give them a zero if I could and revoke their license as well.
Jose's company replastered and put new tiles in our pool. Seven months after the tiles were placed, the grout started to crack, fall apart and disappeared in between the tiles. We are still dealing with this problem.
The whole year long experience with this company has been painful. Multiple voice messages and emails with no response. The only time they respond is if you mention a law suit or a lawyer.

We decided to go with Coral Pool and Spa for our pool and hot tub re-plastering project after getting a few similar quotes. We had a feeling they would do a good job but you can never be sure. Thankfully, we had nothing to worry about. They finished just about on schedule and the work looks excellent. All the tile work around the hot tub has been replaced and the new white plaster gives the the whole pool and spa a wonderful mediterranean blue color.

Anthony came out to look at my pool and supposedly give me a quote. He was on time but not friendly at all. He asked if I wanted the tile replaced. I said yes and that I already had it picked out but he didn't ask for that information. However there was an amount for tile and installation on my estimate. The quote I was supposed to get was just a rough estimate, I was told when I finally talked to someone because I had emailed them that I was concerned with how little information was on the estimate. Update: changing my review as Coral Pools did respond to our issues and we came to a good compromise. The pool did turn out to be very nice, albeit some of the issues I posted below.
Older review: Would have given more stars, but two things. One, they were never on time and some days wouldn't even show up. Both my husband and I have busy full time jobs so its extremely frustrating and unprofessional when contractors don't show up when they say they would. This happened more than a few times!

I just had my pool & Spa replastered and some of the tiles needed replacement ! This is a Awesome company they were right on my Color (semi-Dark color) Customer service is the best I have worked with !! Construction companies are sometimes hard to work with !! Not this this company Thank you Jose and Team !! As In Said a Trustworthy Company and Customer Service with great Communication !!

I highly recommend Coral Pool for anyone who needs remodeling or new pool. I had an amazing experience for my pool remodeling.
1. Anthony Mejia was always accessible and provided so many different estimates per our forever changing requirements, he tried to save money for us wherever possible.
2. Coral Pool's team were working clockworks with highest quality to meet every milestone. The Pool team worked very well with Stamped concrete team so they could finish the pool deck when needed in the middle of Pool work.
3. Team were very open to changes and Jose Mejia made sure all the change requests

Called Coral Pool and Spa 3 days in a row, talked with very pleasant office girls who tried to reach Anthony, who was out or on the phone, so, instead they pledged to give him my number and that he would contact me directly; once it was even suggested I would be receiving a quote with the return call. I wanted a quote for an in-ground fiberglass pool.
I received ZERO response from Anthony or the company. I understand it may have been a busy week but the courtesy of a 'We're just too busy!' response would have been sufficient.
If this is typical of this business then 'beware

Coral Pool and Spa built a pool for me and working with Anthony and Jose has been great! They were very friendly and happy to answer all my newbie questions. which was a really good thing because i didnt know much about pools. There entire process was amazing! And a lot of fun watching the pool being built. Five stars all around im very happy with my pool and have been enjoying it ever since. Great Job guys! I would definitely recommend

I don't think my pool has ever been replastered since it was built so it's been about 35 years+ and in desperate need of an update. I am also really busy and needed to get it done ASAP while I was on break this year. I asked Anthony if he could get it done in two weeks, and he made it happen (Thanks again Anthony!) Not only were they able to squeeze me in last minute but they did an amazing job on my plaster and tiles. I could not be happier with their quality of work and would highly recommend Coral Pool & SPA. They were also very helpful on giving specific instructions on the pool

5 star workmanship! I've been working with Jose and Anthony for a while now. I hired them to build a brand new pool in my backyard. This is my first pool ever so I didn't really know to much about certain things. I explained this to Anthony and he reassured me I would be in good hands. And I was!!! I have all state of the art equipment now with energy saving pumps and even solar powered heating! We set things up to be so easy to use I'm so excited about my swimming pool!!! Coral Pool and Spa just finished a remodel of our 30 year old pool including new plaster, coping, and tile. They worked closely with Freedom Pools who did the new filters and pumps. The guys at Coral (Jose and his son Anthony) were a pleasure to work with. Anthony drove me around to a few houses around the bay where they had done work and I got some ideas for my plaster color and design from them.
