Your color preferences could not have been considered, with an amber hue being your only option.
In addition to limited color choices, the major and most concerning issue is the VOC off gassing experienced upon oil based application. VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds. These compounds can escape during the finishing process. This gaseous chemical escape is not only occurring during the application process and drying stages; some linger in your space long after the finish is seemingly dry.
Fast forward to today, we now have options that allow for the avoiding of risks associated with VOC's. Most modern day waterborne finishes are close to 80% dry within 24 hours, taking only three days to fully cure. Along with these waterborne finishes, we now have another new finishing system from Europe.
