Julie has been developing architectural interior plans and designing luxury interiors for clients in the New England area over 17 years. Her unique professional background allows her to provide solutions to design dilemmas on residential and commercial spaces, while also offering a specialty in senior living and Aging in Place.

A participant in all aspects of the building process, Julie works closely with builders, contractors and homeowners alike from concept to installation. She understands the investment and trust her clients place in her and will go above and beyond to ensure they are happy with the end result.

Julie carries a Masters of Art in Interior Design from The New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University and an undergraduate degree from Northeastern University.Julie is also LEED Green Certified providing sustainable design solutions to complete any project. Native to Central Massachusetts, Julie enjoys spending time along the shores of Cape Cod and the mountains of upper Vermont with her husband and two children.

I found Julie online searching for local Central Massachusetts interior designers. I was attracted to her portfolio immediately, liking her clean and modern, yet homey and comfortable aesthetic. Our large master bathroom needed an update and Julie was the right designer for us. She listened attentively and noted our ideas while infusing her own. Design plans were exquisitely detailed and made an exciting tangible preview experience. We were impressed with her contractors and thankful for her resources. I highly recommend J. Salmon Design to help with any project, big or small! My husband & I were timid to renovate our kids' bathroom in our 1890s house. Our fear was that it would look too modern and lose the character of our historic home. Julie put our worries to rest as she designed a lovely, classic bathroom. She found efficient ways to use the space better and recommended materials that fit the look we were hoping for. We now have a timeless, updated bathroom! I initially hired Julie for a two-hour consultation. I had left messages with a few designers (of which only one called back) and Julie was the only one who actually answered her phone! She was very informative and knowledgeable to my many questions about my bathroom project. My husband and I decided to substantially expand the project to include the kitchen and hope to have Julie involved with the renovation. I highly recommend Julie for your next project.
