I called HHGC on referral from Menards to have an entry door and screen door replaced. Harvey actually answered his phone when I called the first time and was able to give me a rough idea of his cost by phone. Then he scheduled an appointment to look at and measure the door project and actually showed up to the appointment. He told me that based on what needed to be done there would be additional cost and it was reasonable and understandable. He sent me a written estimate and when the doors were ready to be picked up at Menards, he went and picked them up. They showed up on time for the installation

Harvey did a great job on our basement built-in closet. Him and his crew had great attention to detail not only in their workmanship but also the way they treated our home while they were here. Harvey had some very good design ideas that he added to our initial plans and the overall project turned out perfect. Highly recommend HH!!

We had hired another company to finish our basement, but they disappeared before finishing the job.
We hired HH to finish the job and fix the issues that did not pass inspection. They did a great job and were prompt, friendly and professional. Since then we have had HH help us with various other projects, and so have our friends!

I would give them a ZERO if I could.
Buyer beware. Keep looking for another contractor. This team skips the quality and rushes to the finish line. They tell you they're subbing the work to the experts but attempt to do it themselves leaving the homeowner to fix and repair their work for months to come. They also got to work and through the entire home renovation project without securing a permit or inspection from the city. Blaming us...the homeowner. Saying it was our responsibility. If that was the case, I would've had a permit.
So negligent in their approach and legality...they

If I could give zero stars I most certainly would. The owner of this company doesn't stand behind his workmanship, or rather his lack there of.
My floors needed to be completely resanded and stained because it was improperly done.
We specified one brand and quality of paint which he charged us for, and used a lesser quality and grade product.
The list goes on.
Buyer beware. He is also known to charge full price for an item, and then go purchase the item at Restore.

Harvey wasn't willing to be specific about the grade of cabinets and tile that were being included in the estimate. When I scheduled a meeting to clarify these, he cancelled the day of the meeting two weeks in a row. Then, when I contacted by email to itemize the specifications, he suddenly claimed to have mixed up estimates with another and claimed the bid was now twice what he originally submitted. Not a professional practice.
