Ranney Michaels specializes in single family residences unique to each client's lifestyle. Our work includes site planning, new construction, additions, interior/exterior remodeling and renovations.
While the majority of our work is with newer construction, we also have extensive experience with historic preservation projects. Ranney Michaels is focused on partnering with each client to ensure that not only the end result exceeds expectations, but that the entire process from design through build to hand-over is efficient, successful, and most of all - enjoyable!
Eric Michaels, AIA is a lifelong Fairfield County resident and a second-generation architect. He established Eric Michaels Architect, AIA in 1993 after apprenticing with his father. His work included residential, commercial, and retail projects throughout Fairfield County.

Eric and Sharon are a terrific duo who transformed our home into exactly what we wanted - a roomy but elegant house with wonderful touches throughout. Creative but flexible they knew how to take the input we gave them regarding our tastes and our likes and dislikes and work within the inherent structural and cost limitations of any renovation to produce a beautiful design. They also worked well with the contractors who implemented that design to ensure that the final product did not disappoint. You cannot go wrong with them.

I've worked with Eric and Sharon in various capacities. Not only have I seen what they have designed for others, but they were wonderful and respectful of my antique colonial home. Eric worked most closely with us and was not only incredibly responsive and patient, but also helpful working within our budget. He was professional and I trust his design aesthetic completely.
