Firm charged me full $205 service fee for a 15 minute (if that) visit to determine my new batteries (I put them in myself) were just not making a connection! The service guy just rolled them around in the box - fixed - and left. Terribly disappointed.

Not sure what chimney repair services they actually provide. After an inspection where the people they sent snapped pictures, they pointed out the issues with our chimney, but stated that they do not perform this kind of repair work. They should indicate on their website what manor of repair work they can perform.

No idea if they do a good job or not because they were so rude and arrogant when I contacted them for a price that I had no interest in going further. I don't work with companies that don't take the time to speak with me before issuing an estimate based on incorrect dimensions, pushing products that are overkill, and responding to my comment that nobody had even taken the time to speak with me by saying, "you can go elsewhere." Which I did.

I've seen the reviews here and felt I needed to add my voice. I've been doing business with SH Fireplace for years. I have a wood burning stove and a gas fireplace. I have always found the people who work there to be professional and friendly. Last winter, I went in to get a refresher course on how to make a fire in the stove. They took the time, answered all questions, and never got impatient or short with me. If the time ever comes to replace or get new, I will most certainly go straight to SH Fireplace.

Beware of this company and it's estimates. If you decide to go with them make sure you know what you are getting yourself into and make sure your estimate includes everything you need with no ability to add additional costs unless approved by you. Otherwise, you will encounter high additional costs. To be fair the fireplace looks nice but the owner does not keep his word so put everything in writing , please! Apparently, he does not care about his business or reviews very much. If he did, he would not have a 2 1/2 stars Google rating.

Best service. Worked with me from start to finish. Never complained about last minute changes. Great people and great customer service. I would highly recommend this company. Justin is the best really cares about the customer.

Hey you guys have some pretty awful reviews here and on Yelp. Might you consider responding or addressing these? I am considering a visit to your shop.

Bought a fireplace insert here years ago and have had it serviced along with chimney cleaning ever since. I trust Michael and Allison to handle all our fireplace needs and give us a fair and honest assessment.

Service is beyond arrogant, it's non-existent. There is no reason to deal with these condescending, non-responsive people. I will spend some time finding an alternative the next time I need service for my gas fireplace which thankfully is not required often. The most impressive thing about Sag Harbor Fireplace is the landscaping out front!!!

I have NEVER written a review before, figuring that folks have good and bad experiences everywhere, but today was the icing on the cake, as a representative from Michael Scanlon let himself into my house unscheduled (he was supposed to measure last Friday and without any phone call or email he decided to show up on Tuesday instead).
