Vicky launched her own design business, V McHugh Interiors, at the end of 2016. Previously, she worked in the interior design industry for nearly twenty years in design studios on Chicago's north shore. During that time, Vicky was proud to participate in many designer events at the Chicago Merchandise Mart as well as chosen to decorate rooms in three Infant Welfare Society of Chicago - Lake Forest Showhouse and Gardens.
Today, Vicky serves clients all around the city and suburban environs as well as many client's homes in Wisconsin, Michigan and Florida. Her new studio is located in her home in La Grange overlooking her garden. She is artistically inspired by nature and especially plants and trees form, color, texture, and scale.
Be it home or garden she decorates all of her living spaces, with an equal measure of serenity and surprise and an emphasis on comfort and usability. Every project is approached with the same basic intent: to create a living environment that joyfully welcomes home all who inhabit; be it years or hours.
