Discount Pool & Spa Supply is the largest full service pool and spa company in the South Bay. We are an authorized warranty station for all major manufacturers and we are licensed by the L.A. County Health Department and the California State Contractors Board (817494-C53). A contractor's license is required for all pool renovations and repairs over five hundred dollars.
Super chlorinating or "Shocking" means drastically raising the chlorine level of the swimming pool for a short time, to a high enough level that the combined chlorine is oxidized and burnt off. During the summer a pool should be shocked at least once each week. You should shock more frequently if the pool is used heavily, after heavy rainfall, or to kill algae blooms and other bacteria that may be present in the water.

I won't even recommend Discount pool(DP) to my worst enemy!!
Mar 2019, my elderly mom hired DP to replace all the copper pipes in the 30yrs+ pool system due to leak. We met with mike for a quote, he upsells a switch value, pool cleaner inlet&new return lines, since he won't be changing the bottom drain pipe, instead will plug the bottom drain. We also had others quote, DP was in the mid-range. Been shopping at DP for 15+yrs, knowing they been around for a while&have a store location, we went with DP.
The entire job was done by only 1 guy in almost 2wks.
Upon finished, I went

My first time to buy some pool chemicals here and my experience was great!!Diego helped me and gave me useful info on pool ph balancing. Their prices are very affordable and I will definitely come back for more supplies. I wish they had a store in Valencia. But the drive down there was well worth it.👍

These guys are always great! I've called them twice for repair. My regular pool cleaning services is just that, cleaning. So when something breaks or need fixing I have to call the real professional!
I have an old heater and its broken down twice. Twice I've called these guys and I'm amazed at how they can quickly repair the issue. I have had to call a couple of times before someone came out to fix it, but it's been fixed within 2 weeks of me calling. This company was totally ridiculous. I just need to change pool light bulbs. And reset the breaker. They asked me to change whole light set. And quoted me $2K+. Luckily, I was smart enough to get 2nd contractor to estimate. It only costed me $85 +bulb and total $295 to replace 2 light bulbs. Now everything is perfect.

We had Discount Pool Supply redo our pool. We changed the coping and tile and plastered. We also added a underwater bench. They upgraded our pool to code and moved our pool motor and heater to a better location. They changed the gas line to the larger diameter which is the new code. They also put in an automatic water filler. The workmanship is excellent and the workers were eager to please. Mike the owner is very nice, low key, and honest. Easy to work with. I don't have any complaints and would recommend to anyone thinking about redoing or designing a new pool.

Discount Pool & Spa supply is a misnomer as they do pool remodels as well. Mike Bullock is one of the owners and is the head of the remodel end of the business. We just had Mike and his crew replaster and retile our pool and spa. They are great to work with and Mike is so knowledgeable about everything related to pools/spas. He is a great person to work with and I highly recommend if you are thinking of redoing your pool, call Discount and ask for Mike, you won't be disappointed.

They have good service. You will probably find stuff on amazon for just slightly cheaper, but they treat people well and know there stuff.
I've bought overflow values and had my pool robot fixed there, and they have all that little stuff that you need to fix something today, and I have received lots of advice on maintenance (I try to most of my own),
So I prefer going there for most things vs buying online.

Mike and his guys completely redid our pool with sand colored pebble bottom. They were very professional and did the job in the time frame we were given. We noticed a problem with the railing and told Mike about it. He came out and had his guys replace it days later with an even better hand rail. I can't say enough about the service and backing of his work. We now have a beautiful salt water pool with water that is the color of a Mediterranean sea! I highly recommend Discount Pool and Spa Supply for any pool needs!

Thanks for helping with the 1000$ DWP rebate process application. That took 2 months as you said it would. And thanks with helping with the fine tuning of the run times and speeds as we got acclimated to it.

If you need pool supplies or someone to maintain your pool, this is the place to come. I have been going to Leslie Pools for a few years now and the staff there well let's say they need more education.
The prices are just bit higher but these people know there stuff. If you need something this place will have it for sure.

Came here to address an algae problem, the store is located at the base of Palos Verdes . Gabriel helped me the second I walked in the door. We looked at my water sample and then reviewed solutions.
