Our mission is to build quality homes at an affordable price. We believe that every person deserves to own a house that he or she is proud to call home. Horizon Home Builders opened its doors in the summer of 2003 and has since built more than 1,000 homes in and around Savannah, GA. The company is owned by brothers, Richard and Robert Flanders, who grew up in the Savannah area.
We at Horizon Home Builders understand that the process of purchasing a new home can be stressful. Therefore, we have partnered with several "preferred" lenders in the area that will help simplify this process for you. These local lenders have a wealth of knowledge and experience and more importantly they will all pick up their phones when they are needed.
As soon as you can, start reading websites, newspapers, and magazines that have real estate listings. Keep track of what interests you. How many bedrooms? Single story or two? It is always a good idea to speak with a lender to determine how much house you can afford before shopping. The best way to do that is to get pre-qualified for a mortgage.

I am honestly a bit disappointed in the construction and purchase of our first new home. As with a lot of builders, things look great and glitzy on the surface but underneath there are issues. Our home is nice but as the owner who lives there everyday I get to see the little details most folks would miss. The overall construction is decent but for the cost of the home I expected more. There appears to be very little in the way of supervision from the site supervisor during construction and no one comes in behind the sub-contractors to ensure things are done to a quality standard. I wanted to write a review about my experience with Horizon. I moved here in March via the military and wanted to buy a home. After looking at what seemed to be hundreds of homes I found myself literally lost and driving through Mosswood. I saw a home that had just finished being constructed that I was interested in. Horizon Home Builder thinks nothing of the buyer all he cares if he making his money does not care what you want what you need in your home as long as he making his money you will need to buy at his price he will never lower the price you can buy at that or go else where he does not care about the buyer. you can only get what you see he will not change anything or give you anything...the market is what it is pay his price or go elsewhere

We have now been in our Horizon home for just over 2 months. Choosing Horizon Home Builders was the best decision we made! The process was easy and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. During our final walk-thru, Matt went through the entire house in detail. He is very down to earth and extremely helpful. To this day, when he is in our neighborhood, he still honks when he drives by. I have been in my Horizon Home a little over 30 days. I love my home. Jack Hiatt did both of my walk throughs. He was there early and had found some items before I noticed them. He explained the process completely. He followed up after closing to be sure I was happy and that everything had been completed. I see Jack in the neighborhood and he always has a smile and a wave. He will ask if all is still going well. He had given me his cell and told me he does not go away. I can call if I ever have a question or forget the process for the warranty. Horizon has a superstar in Jack.

Horizon is fantastic to work with. They made our building process so painless and fun. With this being one of the most stressful things a person or couple does in a lifetime, Richard, Robert and Matt we're there and helped us with any questions we had. They are very personable and truely care about their families they are working with. We are very happy with our home. Everyone that enters our house is blown away with the detail and extras (that weren't extras-so much comes standard). I would highly recommend this builder to anyone, and if you chose them you are in good hands living in a great sound

Edit: notice all the 5 star reviews added within days of my review. 7 reviews before mine, then 4 added within days. Seems fishy don't you think?
I highly recommend NOT going with this builder for multiple reasons. From start to finish almost every aspect has been overly frustrating for no reason. Now that we have been in our house for a year we are having the most difficult time getting things fixed that are covered under the warranty they FORCE you to buy (from them!) They pocket the money from the insurance then don't fix the issues. We have entry doors that won't close or open correctly. Our

Honestly, I have no complaints and I'm very satisfied with my home. From customer service, to selecting material, all the way down to building my home the experience was stress free and great.
