I enjoy talking to customers about the issues that are important to them, and solving the problem. Retractable awnings are nice for a lot of people, but they don't address every problem.
If my customer tells me they want to add more living space, but don't want all the expense of a sunroom, I propose stationary products. If they also say they would appreciate a ceiling fan, we go with an insulated roof. Those are really nice because they provide year round protection, and they are the same top you want if you want to enclose the area later.
We offer a labor warranty unlike any competitor in the area. Our labor warranty covers the products we make and install to the same extent as the manufacturers warranty. That means if your retractable awning motor fails, and the manufacturer says it is covered, here is a free motor, then we swap out the motor for free!

For over 10 years we have been helping customers solve problems. Some people say they want to enjoy the deck more and the sun is just too hot in the summer. If they don't care to use the deck in the winter, then we suggest the flexibility of a retractable awning. Some people want to use their deck all year, so for that we can use a stationary awning, carport, or insulated roof.
These are the standard valance cuts and braid colors we use to finish the bottom edge of a loose valance. If you want something else, just describe it to your sales person. The photo has a "Euro" cut with Black braid, on Black fabric, which is very subtle. If the customer wanted to make it "Pop" we could have sewn white braid on the edge.
The way to keep the price down on retractable awnings is to limit some of the choices and stop making them so "Custom-Made". We have retractable awnings that are very affordable. We have 4 sizes, 2 frame colors, and 8 of the most popular fabrics. They all have a cassette frame that encapsulates the roll of fabric when retracted.
