My second love in regard to design is custom furniture. Whether it's cabinetry, living room, dining room, bedroom, or outside furniture, & childrens rooms, I love to create custom one-of-a-kind designs for my clients. Cathy's service is very personal and attentive. She takes the time to get to know you and then matches decor choices to your personal style and budget.
Advised, and assisted in doing remodel of Kitchen. It was amazing her continued support, suggestions, and making the final product become exactly as she described with little hassle to our environment while we were living in the home. Amazing decorating touches, very proud of my Kitchen, and how lovely it looks.
I had a vision of what my hair studio would look like, and Cathy took my vision and made the final look so amazing! She put things together that I would never have thought of and made it more beautiful than what I could even imagine. My Daughter and I were looking to do a DIY project for our kitchen during SIP. The biggest challenge for me is deciding on colors and design. It will usually stifle my progress and I end up never starting.
After sending pictures of my kitchen and adjoining rooms, Cathy suggested a bold and sophisticated color palate. She also gave me recommendations of paint products, that I had great success with. Cathy followed up with me several times checking on progress and responded quickly when I texted any of my concerns - (opening that can of Midnight Oil made me gasp a little - it is stunning!). Thanks

Catherine at Austin design is an extremely talented designer. She helped us completely transform our home through the use of paint, reupholstery, new accessories and some carefully selected new pieces of furniture. I cannot say enough positive things about working with Catherine. She listens, give suggestions, is responsive - we did a total home redesign-it's exactly as I envisioned. All the furniture, accessories are excellent quality (many were custom designs), some were fixes of existing items (drapes). WOW! Wonderful/Outstanding/Welcoming. This describes Catherine's work and working with her on our remodel of our 1950's kitchen. Our contractor recommended Catherine when we were having difficulty finding a backsplash for our already selected granite counter. She nailed it with the perfect selections. When we met her at the tile place, she had done her pre-work and there was no need to deliberate long, she had a perfect vision for our kitchen. We also used Catherine for flooring selection and wall paint color.

I hired Catherine for a color consultation and am so glad I did. We are painting our kitchen cabinets and needed to pick paint colors for the house. The color choices for the kitchen cabinets was especially tricky. We'd gone through several rounds of samples with the guy doing the painting, and knew we were picking the wrong colors but did not know how to choose the right ones. Catherine got it right immediately!
Some people just have the "eye" for picking colors, it is a real talent. And Catherine has it--even my hard-to-please husband agreed with Catherine's choices!

I was doing a re-model on my house and was not sure about what stone work I was going to use for my bathrooms, kitchen and floors. I called Austin Design and Catherine and I met. I explained to her what I like and what I don't like. She brought samples with her and gave me her expert advise on what kind of stone to use as well as what colors to choose for kitchen, bathrooms and floors.
