Services
Service will be performed once a week, reoccurring, until informed otherwise per customer request. In slower growing seasons the weekly service will consist of mowing, if necessary, edging, leaf management, blowing and clean-up of property. Your yard will be maintained with a top of the line, Exmark Vantage mower.
We strive to provide quality service that why we invest in high end, commercial equipment that produces quality results. We also use high end fertilizers & seed blends purchased from Advanced Turf that we match to your particular grass type. Includes core aeration, over-seeding of new grass seed to match current turf, and starter fertilizer to assist with germination.
We do not offer slice seeding for entire yards. We find this service most beneficial as a supplemental service to our aeration package for those who have very thin or smaller bare sections that need additional attention. We also usually recommend covering the slice seeded section with a thin layer of peat moss and straw for protection and holding moisture which aids in higher germination rates.
Managed and worked as a lead member on our crews in the operations of mowing services, shrub trimming, fertilization, weed control application, aeration, over-seeding, new installs of turf and nursery products, and other landscaping services. Certificate completed program in 2015 off-season to enhance knowledge and skills pertaining managing turfgrass.
These openings are for the 2020 season, which we are looking to hire immediately. We are a local lawn care company that offers a wide scope of services to the west side of Columbus. We will be looking to start an additional crew and are in need of a Crew Leader and also some crew assistants. Hours will vary but usually 40-50 per week for full time and 20-30 for part time.

Brian and his team have taken care of my lawn for several years and have always done a great job with every service they've provided. His communication is always on point and they do it all. Weekly mowing, bed maintenance & mulching, spring and fall clean up, trimming, edging, aeration and fertilizing. Nothing but rave reviews for this family run-business! Brian and his team were my saviors. Due to the pandemic, I wasn't able to return home and manage the yard in person. I made a few calls until I found a company I could trust remotely. Brian was fantastic! He worked patiently with me to meet all my requests and paid great attention to detail. He got my yard on the schedule quickly and sprayed for weeds, mulched, edged, trimmed, and dead headed flower bushes. His team did an incredible job! We had our yard aerated by 1st Choice last fall. It was super easy to set up via e-mail and the service was priced well. 1st Choice told us which day they would do the aerating, then took care of the yard. It was nice to come back home after work and find the job done.
It went so well, we decided to do the whole fall aeration package this year. We plan on trying the yearly program next.

Just looked outside to see the results of their work, and it looks fantastic. The job was a belated spring clean-up of five flower beds plus removal of a ton of vines and random leafy things, and the clearing of a jungle that had sprung up between a fence and the garage. Brian and his crew guy were incredibly pleasant and professional, and the price was lower than I'd anticipated. I'd recommend this company with no reservations.

My husband and I live in Chicago but we have a rental property in Hilliard. We needed to have some landscaping work done and completed within two days. I called Brian and left a message for him. By the time he called me back, he had already driven by the property and was familiar with what we wanted to have done. He even did the work on his afternoon off, knowing we only had two days to complete it. He was friendly, knowledgeable and his prices were very competitive. I called Brian last week and he was busy and told me he would call me Monday(today) and he did. He is reliable, showed up, and did what I wanted on the spot. He did a great job and was honest. He told me to wait until spring to finish other things I wanted to do because I would be wasting my money planting this late in the year. I will definitely be calling him next spring to finish.
