After having a horrible experience with a previous AC company, it was very refreshing to find Jim McDonald & Son’s. The office staff & technicians have been extremely professional & friendly. After giving this company a subpar review initially I have amended my review. The reason for the subpar review, unresponsiveness to a request for a follow up to a problem with an airconditioner installation, appears to have been caused by a misunderstanding and miscomunication, on everyones part.
The owners of McDonald's AC contacted me, in a very professional manner, immediately after becoming aware of the problem. They personally came to my house and resolved the problem, to my satisfaction, with the AC unit. I commend them for caring enough about their company to resolve a problem and not walk

Jordan was prompt, professional, smiling, calming and 100% trustworthy. He immediately figured out the Google Nest device I had purchased was NOT compatible with my Trane Furnace and recommended a path forward on all my cooling questions. Use these folks as they clearly ROCK this business!!

Although the 2 service techs were very able and proficient it appears to me that since the original Company sold out these techs⁹ were working on commission, trying to up sell me at every opportunity.
I was also charged over the odds for a drain clean. $275, for less than an hours work.
I am a retired Sales Manager and I see exactly what they are doing, used this Company within my family for 20 years, purchased over 8 systems with them so feel now I am being ripped off, need to shop around .

We've been with McDonald & Sons for years now and have been very satisfied with the work they do. They were originally referred to me by a peer in real estate, and I have since referred their name out countless times. Hannah & Gayle in the office are always pleasant & helpful, and the techs who come out are nice, competent, thorough, and they don't try to sell you work you don't need. And during these crazy covid-19 times, their techs are wearing masks which we've very much appreciated. They take their good reputation seriously. Very happy to refer this company to anyone who needs a/c services
