This review is a long time coming. I am a co-owner of a Real Estate firm in Richmond, VA and work with many builders each and every year for clients who choose to build a home. When my wife and I decided to choose a builder in the Outer Banks we relied on our local OBX Realtor, Ron Ryan (who we also love) for advice as to whom to choose as our builder. Ron suggested Olin Finch as one of the best builders in OBX.
We did our research and chose to work with Olin to build a home in Duck approximately 15 years ago. We loved the quality of Olin's home so much we built a 2nd home with Finch and Company

Olin Finch is a great guy and an outstanding custom builder. Built my house in 2005. Still returns my calls and comes over to my house anytime I have an issue or concern. Started as a rental house. Now it is our year-round home. Unrelated to his building acumen, he also started the legendary Nags Head Hammocks as a kid back in the 1970’s. If I ever build another house on the Outer Banks, Finch is only builder I would hire.

Olin Finch and his builders were able to build a roof over our outside stairwell, providing us with a dry entry to our house, when other builders we talked to said they did not think it could be done. The workmanship was excellent and the construction was done expeditiously. Moreover, Olin stood by his work and came back long after the work was done, and fixed a small part that suffered some wind damage. I would highly recommend Finch and Company. The work was superior and the price was very reasonable. It's hard to find contractors in the Outer Banks that have as much integrity as Finch and Company
