The most common central cooling system is a split system, which includes an outdoor cabinet containing a condenser coil and compressor, and an indoor evaporator coil, usually installed in conjunction with your furnace or air handler. The compressor pumps a chemical called refrigerant through the system.

An air handler, or air handling unit (often abbreviated to AHU), is a device used to condition and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system. Usually, an air handler is a large metal box containing a blower, heating and/or cooling elements, filter racks or chambers, sound attenuators, and dampers.
Installing the correct indoor or evaporator coil is essential for getting the highest performance and comfort from your central air conditioning or heat pump system. The evaporator coil is a piece of a equipment that is useful in sending cold air throughout the ductwork located in your home. As air is passed through the system, the coil will absorb the heat and in return get you that cold breeze throughout the house.

We just had Gerald with True Fix Air Conditioning & Heating come out to check our heating. Our electricity was on and had been on since yesterday but it was still 51 degrees inside the house. We could hear the unit working but it clearly wasn't heating. He came out yesterday and found that the limiter switch wasn't working. Fixed it and we are heating up as I type. Woohoo!
It's dangerous on the roads today and freezing. He was friendly and professional and the price he charged was fair.

The guys at True Fix did a very thorough job of inspecting the whole problem with my ducts and furnace that was necessary to do the job. My house is older with a few space challenges and they brainstormed to come with a brilliant spot on plan. They installed top of the line equipment extremely fast, and at a fair price. They have since checked back with me twice to see if I was happy. If you want a mix of honest hard work, great customer service, and a company that will go above and beyond to get it right then by all means choose True Fix. They are amazing and feel like family.

Ask yourself - why hasn't this company received any current reviews favorable them other than those 3-4 yrs ? Caution! Sales person Harry is a bit of an arm twister looking to take advantage of a seasonal disadvantage to their potential customers. He wouldn't provide me a written quote, which until today, was overdue by 2 months. I've now scratch True Fix off my list of comparable Trane vendors.

The technician seemed competent and was fairly polite. The job was completed and though he had to come out twice, my fingers are crossed that it’s fixed this time. But the price seemed very high to me. At least compared to AC work in the past. So in fairness I rated an average of 4 stars for work and 2 stars for price and professionalism.
True Fix charges $270 to do a very basic check (basically checked Freon levels and drains - they do not clean evaporator or condenser coils). They also tried to clear a plugged evaporator compartment drain.

Hands down the best customer service around and very knowledgeable technicians. I was refereed to these guys from a friend who has had them out to his homes before and I wasn't at all disappointed. AC went out at about 7:00pm and they called me back at 8:00pm. Scheduled me for the next day and by 2:00pm the next day everything was up and running. I think I was lucky by having them come out so quickly but if my AC goes out again and I am unable to schedule them to come out the next day I would rather wait a few more days just to have these guys come out to the house. I had a leak around my AC vent, and of course, assumed it was an AC problem. After my father was quoted an outrageous price for a brand new system, I stepped in and asked for them to delay the work because I wanted a second opinion. Had the salesman call me only to say "I assumed I was speaking with your father on this, not you." So right off the bat I was incredibly insulted. Two AC companies later, a repairman told me to call a plumber, and sure enough, it was a leaky pipe. Saved my family 22,000 dollars to actually get a repairman in who knew what he was doing. Stay away from these

I called True Fix on the recommendation of the A/C guy I used to use in Cypress who couldn't get to me until tomorrow. I am very glad I took his advice! Daniel came this afternoon and got straight to work. He asked several times if I had called the builder, as the unit is barely two years old. I knew the manufacturer warranty is 5 years, but I had read my builder warranty and it said two years through them (which expired just a month ago). His insistence made me go ahead and call my builder while he was chasing down the leak. Sure enough, they said they'll take care of it through

Best in class service, everyone I spoke was very friendly. It is Sat the 4th of July and my A/C units stopped working. I called and was told that all the techs were very busy and it might be diffecult to get someone out. After a few minutes she called back and informed me that indeed all the tech were on other calls, however the owner of the company would be in my area and would stop by to see if he could get it running. Within 30 min Gerald was here. He clearly was dress as if he was enjoying a nice holiday weekend out with his wife, however he had no problem getting down on his hands and knees
