I'm a novice about paving so when I began looking for company to pave my driveway I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for.
What I've come to learn, as with so many things, is that there's a real art to what they do. You've got to have an eye for preparing and grading the space to the proper specifications, for applying, rolling out, and finishing the asphalt, all as you orchestrate the use of many different types of equipment, by a crew of skilled craftsmen, using a material with very limited processing window. Haha... It is not a job for the faint-of-heart.

Total Asphalt Service recently installed new 20 feet x 90 feet driveway for our home in the Richmond Metro area. Rick and his brother Vincent have met our requirements and even exceeded our expectations.
Total Asphalt workers and Vincent paid attention to details. It included: (a) demarcation of new driveway boundaries; (b) removed old gravel and soil from the existing driveway; (c) completed site preparation work as needed; (d) Installed 21A gravel of adequate depth and compacted to create solid foundation; (e) constructed driveway with proper grade for storm water drainage across the driveway

Total Asphalt recently installed a beautiful driveway on a residential property that I own in the Richmond Metro area. I had a ten foot wide, cement drive that was breaking apart. They came out, gave me some recommendations and we went ahead with the installation. The new drive is now twenty four foot wide and words cannot describe how above and beyond these guys went to make my new driveway spectacular!! Thanks Mr. Thompson for recommending them!!
