Worksmith Services was born from the desire to provide top quality fireplace and chimney services to local families in the DFW and surrounding area. It has been a dream and goal of mine to be a business owner and after spending years in this industry learning the trade I decided to step out in faith and start something new.
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and The National Chimney Safety Institute of America (NCSI) recommend at minimum a Level 1 inspection of your fireplace to be completed on an annual basis. Unmaintained chimney's are the leading cause of heating element related house fires. Over 25,000 chimney fires account for over 120 million dollars in property damage every year and many could have been prevented by simple maintenance.

Ben was great. Fast, responsive, and knowledgeable. The price was fair. He recommended some additional work to bring the chimney up to code which will improve safety, and we will probably use his services for that. Would recommend.

I don't do a lot of reviews but I wanted to give a review for Benjamin and his team. First time they came out it seemed the job was not so great and the chimney was still pretty dirty. I emailed Benjamin and he sent another technician out right away at no-charge to inspect it and clean a 2nd time, turns out is was cleaned well. When we hit some cold front this year a lot of backdraft started occurring, and I was not sure what to do or what the cause was. I emailed him and he was willing to have another technician come out and offer me some tips to prevent it. I didn't want to waste their time because

We scheduled an inspection because our gas fireplace wouldn't stay lighted. Worksmith sent texts confirming the appointment and again when the technician was on his way. Benjamin was very professional and seemed knowledgeable. He tested gas level, heat output, etc. and made adjustments to get the fireplace running consistently. He also explained how the safety shut-off system works and what to expect from our specific type of fireplace, so that we will feel more comfortable relighting a couple times if necessary to get it going, esp. the first use of the season. He also said we could call anytime
