They were contracted to do trimming for SMUD. They showed up unannounced after being asked to give us notice to secure the dogs, move the RV and boat. The crew leader treated me like I was stupid and bothersome by asking for simple consideration. When they performed the trimming very poorly by the way I asked them to let me know when they were done so i could put the dogs out. They left did not tell me left the 10’ gate wide open. We later discovered they broke two windows. They did nothing to fix the windows completely blew us off.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Mowbray's does not even deserve one star. This company came to my house under contract by PGE to trim back some branches near power lines. This crew SEVERELY pruned a 50+ year old Madrone tree that had been professionally trimmed 3 weeks previously. Neighbors at both adjoining properties witnessed the extensive pruning as well; one of the neighbors actually asked the tree trimming crew to stop work.
When the PGE foreman and lines crew returned to begin line repair work, they were equally surprised by the extent of pruning and damage to the tree. The crew foreman

They cut one of our tree last year no permission and then gave wood to our neighbors which was probably about $200 then today once again working around the property seem they just like to talk about people even though we can hear them and understand the language they don't seem to care, even the traffic control people with them have attitude and give looks . Need to teach them to be thankful they have a job and be more professional and if they don't like their job just quit. I would not recommend them to assist you at your home. Due to the experienced today I will be pursuing restitution

Contacted with Edison to trim trees. They cut my internet cable and threw it on top the house to hide their damage. They did nothing for nearly a month,
then they denied they broke the cable, blamed it on someone who did work two days later and refused to pay for their damage. They were also very nasty. Don't let them on your property unless you want to pay for their damage.

Set up an appointment to trim trees , waited all day and no show and no courtesy phone call at all to let me know ther they're not coming. Set up a second appointment and again no show. Called them at the end of the day to find out what was going on and there response was, "there not there, there supposed to be and let me research this." Never received any follow up call. I waisted two whole days waiting for them and they don't even have the courtesy to apologize or follow up. Don't waste your time with this unprofessional company!

PG&E sent these tree butchers to prune 3 Mulberry trees in our backyard that were more than 6 feet from the power lines.
There crew was three Hispanics, of which only one spoke broken English and pretended to understand my directions about the backyard landscaping.
They ended up cutting back about 15 feet of growth from two of the trees and damaging a set of path lights when they dragged the branches across the yard.
I would never recommend this company for anything other than removing dead trees in open space.

As a public business these company is the worse. They arrived at my house there were 3 Hispanic guys already to trim a tree that had no issues with electrical wires. I though the guy was professional but when I notice he was destroying my tree. It only needed a 1 foot for most these guys cut 12 or 15 feet. To me they are tree slaughters. Shame on you pg&e for paying these companies to finish destroying our source of exigen.

These guys are hack artists not a tree service.. Edison apparently contracted them out to trim branches from the guide wires on a pole located on my property. Well they cut the whole side of the tree which pretty much has now destroyed the tree that I planted 20 years ago. I'll bet Edison uses them because they are probably cheep. DO NOT USE THESE HACKSTERS!

Regret opening the gate for them to trim my backyard tree. Previous trimmers always trimmed the side where the younger branches were reaching wires, but these guys climbed the tree, took a chainsaw and chopped the top of the tree. Then the one cutting shouts to the guy below, "The tree is alive!" Isn't it your occupation to know about trees? Hopefully it recovers.

The worst Palm Tree trimming I have ever seen. On Saturday, May 2nd, 2020, "Mowbray's Tree Service," a San Bernardino based company, shaved the street side only of many palm trees along the Southside of Country Club Drive between Portola Avenue and El Dorado Drive.
When I asked a representative what on earth they were doing, I was told that they had been hired by Southern California Edison to trim the palm trees that may be near their lines. The reason only one side is trimmed is what SCE is requesting.
I've lived here for over Fifty years and have never seen a worse job

This company did tree work on a major road within my neighborhood without proper signage signaling road closures - for multiple days. I left a message with the company and sent an email via their contact form to alert them of the problem several days ago, and I have not received a response. Due to the road closures, I was not able to access my house for 15+ minutes (and I had my sick, screaming infant in the car). If the company had appropriate signs indicating the road closures, major traffic hold ups could have been avoided. Do not hire this company due to their terrible customer service alone

They were hired to trim trees by SMUD along a pretty busy road. I live on a property behind the houses on that road. Out of convenience they parked blocking my entrance to my property. All the pervious tree trimmers have parked along the road and not block driveways. They were asked to move to get into the property and this took awhile for them to… clean up. I totally understand that electric companies have the right to park on our property, but in this case, it is unnecessary. Perhaps this is the problem with hiring people who aren’t local or part of the community- they don&rsquo

We were quoted to trim two trees and one bush after Hector came to inspect the job. We specifically requested that the branches be trimmed away from the roof line which was acknowledged during the inspection. When they came out to do the job, they said they only quoted to trim some of the branches from the tree line and wanted an additional $100 to… remove the entire fire hazard.
The quote also included clean-up and haul-away, but they left an enormous amount of debris in the driveway. When we called them back, they said they wanted another $50.00 to clean-up the driveway.

Maybe this company was low bid, but SMUD needs to pay attention to the reviews of Mowbray Tree Service. This morning I regret letting them into my back yard. They hacked away at my trees with apparently dull equipment without a thought to proper tree trimming methods. They made an ugly unnecessary mess out of one side of an old oak tree and dropped heavy limbs on small trees next to the large tree. When I tried to talk with them about maintaining the integrity of my old trees, the language barrier was insurmountable.
I called SMUD customer service and spoke with a very nice representative
