5 stars easily. From my initial phone call, to subsequent education and information gathering, the staff at Day1 were on point. I believe one important aspect of a good customer experience is making everything effortless. Tony, Matt, Megan and John and the Install crew made everything effortless. I had almost pulled the trigger last year with a different company, but everything was too difficult. I am glad I waited and chose Day1. Not only was the install flawless, a subsequent visit to actually move a panel that was underproducing due to a vent in my rooftop. No questions asked. Now I am producing

To be fair, we haven't gotten any solar advice or anything installed. This is about I did their employees with long stringy hair.
We live on a one-lane, dirt road. When we left today to start our day, this employee in his Day One box truck, decided to stop in the middle of the road. No way around and no way through. He wasn't in his truck so had no way of knowing he was blocking the entire neighborhood of being able to enter or leave. So...... I honked one time to alert said driver that someone was needing to get out. Waited. No driver appeared. Waited. Still no driver. So... I honked

We have worked twice now with Tony and his crew at Day One. The first time was in 2017 when DayOne delivered a combination ground mount and roof installation at a non-profit which we helped support. It was a rather complex 66kW system and they did a great job at a very competitive price. Two+ years later that system is running great and the non profit is thrilled with all the money they are saving!

My solar panel was dirty and not working. I called Day 1 Solar and Matt came the same day. I needed a new inverter and a cleaning. They came back today, it took 10 days to order and receive the inverter, and installed it and cleaned the entire panel to a mirror finish. Matt and Casey were here 2.5 hours. They explained everything, and that was it. Perfect, timely service. If everything could be like this!

Day One Solar has been an awesome partner. The planning and install went absolutely seamlessly, with Tony and his team doing all the hard work. Prior to installing solar, we were paying $300-800 a month for electricity. Today, our average cost is under $200 a month. We've paid off the panels in record time. First thing I phone in after work hours for an issue I was having wiring a solar panel to a outdoor back-lit sign. The following morning I received a follow up call from their office manager (very Pleasant) asking for details about my issues. After a brief explanation she included me on an email to her staff explaining our circumstances and promised a service tech would come out to investigate in the afternoon.
Early afternoon, one of their service / project managers showed up to the facility looking at our issues. After spending about an hour or so working on our issue, Ben explained very thoroughly

First thing I noticed with Ben was his friendly demeanor. Ben came in the next day after setting an appointment for some solar installation. It turns out that our job was much smaller than expected. I had a great experience with Day One Solar. All I needed was a new inverter. Day One came out to my house and had a new inverter installed in an hour. Besides the install, they went over how to set up the wifi app, inspected all the panels, inspected outlets, explained the fuse box, and showed me how to properly clean the panels. Day One was easy to communicate with, friendly, and professional. It feels great to be making energy again! Thanks Day One!

Absolutely fantastic experience with Day One Solar! I went out to bid with three local solar companies and Day One Solar was the winner. They analyzed our PG&E usage, explained different solar options and listened to what we wanted. They came back with a detailed proposal including a concept drawing of the roof with solar modules. Throughout the whole process they were easy to get along with, knowledgeable, and non-pushy. The install crew wasn't farmed out, they took their time to do things right, like running conduit through the attic instead of the lazy way of running it over the roof

I sincerely can't say enough about Day One Solar. They are responsive, professional and extremely knowledgable about their trade. I originally contacted Day One Solar based on a recommendation from SolarEdge, the manufacturer of my residential solar system. The first service call involved investigating a fault error with my 4-year old SolarEdge 6000 inverter. They quickly identified that it wasn't something they could remedy on site and recommended that I to submit a case with SolarEdge. We got quotes from FOUR solar companies and decided to go with Day One. They were so easy to work with and very communicative. They have a very professional installation team, and the whole process from signing the contract to getting PG&E to start our net metering agreement was faster than anyone estimated: less than a month despite the installation happening during the Christmas holiday.
