I've been with Sweetwater pools since I first moved into my first home with a pool in August of this year. They were initially very pleasant to deal with (other than their prices being so high) their level of professionalism, attention to detail, and reputation set them apart. Or so I thought until closing my pool this year. I was highly disappointed in the timeliness of the technician (over 2 hours after the scheduled 3 hour time window that Sweetwater scheduled themselves). I was not informed of any delay and I took what I anticipated to be a half-day off work (ended up being a full day) to be

No, thank you. Connie, you are the person who told me to see Greg. You are only trying to get more of my money. You sold me all of those products that proved to be worthless. I had to drain my pool and start all over! Buyer beware.

I am not sure this is the place where this occurred. But based on the proximity it is to my parents, I imagine this is where it happened. And if not this is a reflection of the pool contracting industry in Maryland in general.
My father, a black man, wanted to buy an above ground pool for our new house and many salesman have replied to him saying they didn’t have any and/or unwilling to help him. This happened with multiple pool contractors in the state and he had to go to Delaware to buy one. He was very upset to tell my mother of this and I think it’s appalling. I’m not so sure why some

Don't bother calling for hot tub service if you didn't buy the hot tub from them. I called and they refused to help me.
Edit: I'm adding a star because the company at least cared enough to respond. I was just trying to save other people from wasting time calling this company. Anyway, my hot tub is fixed now. The repair person just disconnected the ozonator, and now it is working fine. So, it didn't require any parts or brand specific knowledge to fix it. But, this experience did convince me to buy my next hot tub elsewhere.

I have been with Sweetwater Pool & Spa for a few years now also loving it as I use in short, the A B C non chlorine formula. This summer has been very different from the previous summers weather wise due to climate change. That being said, I want to thank this wonderful team of professional/ personable staff for helping me to keep my in ground pool crystal clear! On a personal note, those of you who have family in Florida and Texas, our prayers are with you during this trying hurricane season.

So thankful to have locally a pool/spa store with highly knowledgeable, helpful staff. We havevrun to them so many times as new pool owners, and each time they are professional, fast, and helpful. We support this small business #1 because again they're that good. We've considered buying from Walmart or having direct delivery from Amazon. However, we run the chance of not seeing the business succeed by going with the big guys, not to mention their prices are very fair and in alignment with their competitors. Absolutely love the store!
