The Calimet Wireless Keypad is used to open your gate. Simply press the combination and the Keypad will signal to the Calimet Gate Opener to open or close. There are cases where you need to give a visitor access to the gate but they don't have a remote, or your remote runs out of batteries, or you lose or forget your remote at home, and you need a manual way of opening your gate.
Safety Edge Sensors detect if an obstacle is encountered and then signals the gate opener to stop. Cars, kids, and pets, can sometimes be in the way of closing gates. Some of these objects are smaller than the height of the photosensor infrared light, so the photosensor won't detect them. Also, sometimes the photosensor might get blocked by grass, or some other object, which will not prevent the gate from stopping, which can cause accidents.
The solar panel is an excellent energy-saving option for increased usage for your Calimet Gate Opener. The Calimet 24V DC Polycrystalline Solar Panel is an excellent option for charging the battery in your gate opener. The 24V Ultra-efficient poly-crystalline solar cells maximizes sunlight for increased usage for your gate system for increased gate cycles.

I recently purchased a home that has a Calimet double swing gate that was installed by the previous owner 3-4 years ago. Unfortunately, the previous owners left me with no instructions on how to operate the gate and they did not leave enough remote controls for me. I was happy to find the Calimet website with some instructions and videos. I did have to contact the company to get some answers to additional questions that I had. I spoke to Andy at Calimet several times and he was always very helpful. He taught me a few things about my gate and helped me program a few more remotes. Now that I know

I wanted to write an update on my experience with Calimet. My gate was installed by a house flipper, from whom I bought my house from. It is not clear if it was installed incorrectly by the house flipper. However, Calimet did send me a replacement control board after I mailed in my existing control board. Andy at Calimet personally reached out to make sure that everything was working with the replacement board. I'm still having an issue with the remote, but the gate is operable and Andy promised that they would send me a new set of remotes that would work (and work with me to make sure

My father and my brothers own a welding shop. Calimet carries all the supplies that we need. casting designs, cutting discs, gate operators, tubings, etc. They have the best prices and friendly staff. It's a HUGE PLUS that their cashier speaks spanish since my coworkers only speak spanish. We also love their rewards program and especially their gate motors. We never had any issues with their gate motors and we never had complaints from our clients about the gate motors. i just wish they opened on saturdays since we also work on saturdays. fingers crossed!
