I have been in many houses designed by The Artisans Group and they are all delightful and very unique. Their Passive House designs when completed run on the energy of a hair dryer and make you feel like you’re breathing healthy fresh air! Their imaginative designs feel like you’ve brought the outside in. The people lucky enough to live in one of Artisan Group’s houses are so very happy and end up lifelong friends with The Artisan Group’s Team! Every day I wake up in our beautiful, warm Passive House, I have the Artisans Group to thank. Building a house can be an exhausting and terrifying experience, but not with this team. Their high level of expertise and taste was matched only by their kindness and generosity. The house we have today is a timeless combination of our unique lifestyle and their design skills - and it's perfect. In 2010, as I was approaching sixty years of age, I found an amazing old (and run-down) homestead site near the southern tip of Puget Sound, and began imagining a house and studio. After a year of house hunting in the Olympia area to no avail, I reached out to Artisans Group to design a home for my family. I ended up finding a not-so-perfect home in the perfect neighborhood and knew I wanted Artisans Group to help with the remodel.

After living in Olympia for 23 years, my wife and I decided to build a custom home. We chose Artisans Group to design and build the first Certified Passive House in the state. The design process was great. Tessa took into account how we live and how will live after our kids leave. The quality of construction was second to none. We have been in our home now since 2011.
