There are many situations that might call for new locks on your home. Do you want to upgrade your locks for higher security? Are your locks not working properly? Do you want to match a new lock to the existing hardware? Whatever the reason, you might be surprised as to how many choices there are out there.
The general definition* of a transponder is "A type of radio or radar transmitter-receiver that transmits signals automatically when it receives predetermined signals". When a car key is called a transponder key, that means there is a chip (a transponder) in the plastic top of the key which sends and receives a signal from the car's computer, and allows the ignition to be turned on, ONLY if the transponder matches the car.
1. Record Safe - A record safe is for just that - important records or documents that you want to keep protected. These (and other fire resistant safes) are rated by the amount of time they will protect the contents from the elements, high temperatures or actual fire. These are very useful, yet they are potentially more easily broken into than a higher security safe.

Made appointment to have my ignition lockset rebuilt. Technician showed up and looked at it and said it was too much work to get to the lockset, didn't try anything and just bailed. Found a mobile locksmith in the San Fernando Valley who had the mechanism out in less than 5 minutes and completed in less than an hour.

Just noticed that this review is looooonnnng overdue. Joe did the locks at our home and we couldn't have been more pleased. He arrived on time, had everything we needed , was efficient and even came back when a lock failed after and he repaired. He doesn't sell anything you don't need, which I also appreciated. He was knowledable and response time was almost immediate but that was back in April.
A major Plus he does business with my security company so its a win - win connection if we ever got accidentally locked out .

I am extremely happy with Brucar Locksmith, and Joe C., who repaired two of my home's locks this morning. He was on-time, courteous, and very pleasant. He offered quotes on the spot both to repair the two old, sticky locks and to replace the locks on my home's four doors. I had been thinking about the full replacement, but Joe said the repairs would be like new. I chose that option for today, and within an hour he completed all the repairs. Save me a bunch of money. I was so very pleased with Brucar Locksmith today! We had them come to our house this afternoon, to install a new latch on our front door lock. We had problems with 2 door locks in our house (not an emergency). I called Brucar in the afternoon, and they made an appointment for the next day. Joe the technician phoned to say he was ahead of schedule and asked if he could come early. We agreed. He fixed both locks quickly, explaining what the problems were and how he fixed them. He was friendly, professional, and efficient, as was the person in the office who scheduled the appointment. The cost was appropriate for a visit to our house and the needed repairs. We would definitely call Brucar again if we needed a locksmith.

Great experience. I needed a locksmith to change the locks on a rental unit of mine due to an eviction. Brucar sent out Joe, who showed up on time and waited until the sheriffs were done to start do his thing. He rekeyed 3 locks and was done in about 15 minutes. Called and was told someone would be there within an hour and a half. Matt was there right on time and was so very nice and I felt very comfortable with him working in my home with myself and my two daughters. I have used Brucar a couple of times, to re-key our house when we moved in and again when we installed new doors. My husband just got a 1960's MG with no spare keys. Blanks were impossible to find anywhere else, but Brucar took on the challenge, special ordered what was needed and did a brilliant job at a very modest fee. They seemed to enjoy solving the problem and invested a lot of time. They take pride in their work and everything is done with a smile. Will definitely use them again, and recommend to all.

Technician was clean and courteous and provided timely service. One of the locks was hard to service, so he followed up and had owner of company come out next day to see if he could fix.
