In the year 1927, the very first ceramic tile wholesale distribution operation in Canada was established by Mr. John Capra under the name "Montreal Floor and Wall Tile". This company was merged in the late 1950's with Olympia Tile, which was established in 1956.
This set in motion an organization that would, in the 1960's and1970's, expand and establish branches in 11 major cities in Canada and open branches in many locations in the United States, to become an international leader in the ceramic tile industry.Olympia Tile acquired a number of distribution companies in various locations in the United States who are now leaders in their respective regions.
In 1980 Olympia acquired Flextile Limited, a manufacturer of specialized cementitious products, adhesives and accessory installation products for the ceramic tile and stone industry. Flextile has the distinction of being the only Canadian-owned such manufacturer.

The service is horrible!!! Their new hire was not properly trained and advised us to make a payment after the tiles are delivered. Of Course that is not happening, and manager Christina didn’t bother to care to answer the call just put us on hold forever, and never got a responsive call even she agreed to call back for updates.

If you have porcelain fever, this is the place for you. Tiles, porcelain, and stone of all sorts, sizes, and styles. The selection can be daunting compared to the big box stores. Anything with the red border on the tags are clearance. Prices run anywhere from $3 a square foot to the sky is the limit.

Great showroom and good selection.
The payment and pickup process is horribly inefficient. Easily 2 hours of standing around with 10s of others, nobody having a clue of when their order will be ready, while the warehouse workers pick your items on the spot. Which is unacceptable in today's world of curbside pickup of prepicked orders.

This place has a variety of options to suit your needs. The staff is very friendly and welcoming to everyone and not just contractors. They offer very competitive pricing on luxury and high end products and even have a clearance section with great tiles for very cheap. If you are looking to purchase in a larger quantity you can also ask for a discount. Overall, If your looking for new tiles you should definitely consider Olympia Tile.
