Live in NYC, from North NJ, and was aware of this place in my travels on Rt 46. SO glad I opted to use them when sourcing tile for my kitchen in NYC. They don't deliver to the city (womp), but they were gracious to hold the tile until I could come get it OR deliver it to my parents in NJ (if that was needed). They also honored a lesser price I found for the same item online after I'd paid for it - which I definitely appreciate. Will be using them again for my additional tile needs for sure! Huge selection, good prices, and EXCELLENT customer service. Thank you Standard Tile!!

I just wanted to give this store the praise it deserves. I was heading to a tile store in Clifton, where the owner was like the “soup nazi” on Seinfeld and I really didn’t want to go back, but they had the tile I liked. Somehow I wasn’t listening to the woman on Waze who was barking orders at me, and I ended up in Totowa. I saw Standard Tile by accident and I am so happy I did. The staff is very nice and helpful. Relative to other tile stores, their tile is pricey. The tile I bought was very nice, but I too had the same issue with the very restrictive 15 day return policy. I had one full unopened box (1/4 of my total order). Especially now during COVID-19, when people aren't going out unless they have to, one would think they would relax their restrictive return window like most other home improvement stores are doing, but not a chance.

After visiting a few tile stores, we ended up at Standard late in the afternoon...and with, of course, a need to get tile ASAP. We worked with Teresa and she was terrific. She instantly understood our needs and our price range and made the entire process painless. Not to mention she brought her good taste and bags of patience (let's just say we can be indecisive sometimes). When there was a delay in receiving some of our tiles from Italy (no ones fault...just a customs delay)...she managed us with humor and understanding. This was friendly, local, personalized service at its best.

We have used Standard Tile for two projects - kitchen and bath. Sergio helped us both times. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient! We changed our minds several times and each time, he did not balk. He listened to our ideas and consistently showed us tile that ultimately turned out to be perfect in both rooms. Excellent experience, quality products; highly recommend and will return when we are ready to redo the second bathroom.

Standard Tile was not the only store we shopped while building a new kitchen and two bathrooms. However, the salespeople at Standard consistently listened and guided us in our choices. In the end--we purchased everything from Standard. There were days when we could tell them exactly what we were looking for and other days when we needed them to give us more direction. Roseanne, Theresa, and Denise each played a role in our choices and we love the design look we achieved. We receive compliments on our tile with every new visitor.

There aren't many stores nowadays where the employees treat brand new customers as if they were loyal customers for many years. I can tell you, firsthand, that Standard Tile Supply is that type of store. From the moment I walked in until today, I was very pleased with the service, quality and price that was provided. The knowledge to recommend the right tile as well and the availability of said tiles are second to none. When you have a family run business that doesn't act like a huge corporation, you get quality and service that shows. I will not shop anywhere else for tiles or anything else that

It takes a long time to pick out tile and get the right design but these people work with you! Now it does take time so be prepared. Have your photos, sample of counter tops and cabinet. And most of all have your measurements. Tile is expensive but the sales people worked to help me mix responsible with expensive.

Watch out, happy to start, HELL in the end. Their initial service was good, but they overestimated how much tile I needed by 25% (they translated from the contractor requirements). When I did the initial appointment they said they would take back any unused boxes of tile and that I would receive everything in 1-2 weeks. I had contractors waiting and I didn't get the last of my pieces until 5 weeks later. That is cost and annoyance. Later, when I went to return 2 boxes of unopened tile, they wouldn't honor the return (and complained about me coming in the front door and not through the

I'm on my third big project using supplies from Standard Tile. This wide-open store has displays that let you browse floor tiles by pulling out enormous flat drawers, and check out wall tiles on huge walls that roll back and forth. Both are big improvements on the system some places use, basically big heavy boards with just a couple of pieces on each, all jammed together in a standing rack. The selection at the East Hanover store is large but thanks to that careful display construction it didn't feel overwhelming to me.
