Harris Art Glass Studio & Gallery
Mary Harris has spent 40+ years perfecting and enhancing the art of stained glass. From restoring historical stained glass to creating a custom window to add elegance to your modern home, the versatility of Mary's style is sure to make your vision a reality.

Over the years, she has elaborated on the craft developing a technique for glass tile murals, created some unique 3-dimensional work, become quite experienced in fusing, and, most recently, developed her own take on river tables.Continue the tradition of adding elegance to your home with glass art with something that is created just for you.

Stained glass windows, glass art pieces, pendant lightsand furniture, the possibilities are truly endless. Let me begin by saying Fr. Pins in Dillon, Msgr. O'Neill at the Cathedral [of St. Helena], Dick Anderson Construction, and the Diocesan Building Commission (which includes Bishop George Thomas and me and many others) are very impressed with and appreciative of the work you have done for us.
Services
Harris Art Glass was formed in 1979 by Mary Harris. When she moved to her home in Helena, Mary first supplied stained glass, as well as restoration work, to local shops, churches, and community charity organizations. 30 years later, she has a firm foothold as an artist in the community as well as the surrounding area and the U.S.
Stained glass has for centuries been a symbol of wealth in a home. Advances in technology have made it possible for anyone to bring the beauty and functionality of stained glass into their home. Bring an idea, concept, or even a photo and Mary will create it in the perfect size, color, style that makes it uniquely your piece.
When you have been working with stained glass as long as Mary has, you are bound to dabble, play, test, putz, and push the limits of what stained glass can do. The result of which is often something beautiful and/or the start of a new technique only available through, stained glass artist, Mary Harris.
Mary Harris's "Boulder River Table" series was created in 2016. Using glass and live edge slabs of exotic woods, Mary beautifully recreates a Montana stream, right there in your living room! Some of the pieces focus more on the beauty of the wood itself, leaving the rest of the piece to fit perfectly into any modern/contemporary decor.

I have always loved Stained Glass. Mary Harris makes it look easy. She is a great teacher and a very competent artist in not just stained glass but fused glass, Tiffany lamps and sandblasted or etched glass. She does restoration work and new designs.
