I went to numerous garage dealers, but The Doorman Service company was the best. They answered my questions and had a number of garage doors and finishes to look at. We choose the Clopay Canon Ridge in Slate garage door. I love our garage door. It looks fabulous. The install team was great. Adam & Tyler were professional. Adam even helped me with my house paint colors! I can't say enough about Doorman. It was worth driving down to Kent!

There is a reason this company has all 5 star reviews. They are awesome. It took them a couple days before they could get out as they were extremely busy, and I was in no hurry. But from start to finish it took less than 45 minutes. Their cost was significantly lower than the clown that gave me a previous quote. Cody was great, very personable and professional. Did not push me to purchase what I did not need. I highly recommend.

We chose this company for a garage door repair for two reasons. Great Yelp reviews and the fact that they are a small family owned company. Wow...we were not disappointed! Cody arrived on time, did a quick assessment of my problem, and viola'!!! 45 minutes later we were chatting and the job was done. The garage door is performing like new! And the price? About half of what we expected to pay.

When I phoned to discuss a problem with my garage door, Sean diagnosed it over the phone. Instead a service call, he asked me to to come to his shop where he gave me the necessary wire and instructions so I could do the repair myself. Easy drive, easy no-cost repair. Everything about this company has exceeded my expectations. My garage door had been broken for months all after I changed it to "manual" setting during a power outtage and then was never able to figure out how to get it back on track, despite numerous You Tube videos watched. It is rare that a company exceeds your expectations but in this case, I am truly blown away. Not only was the design consultation extremely helpful, but the entire process of installing our garage door was painless and actually pleasant. Between purchasing the door and replacing it, our old garage door stopped working - these guys were there the next day to fix it in order to hold us over. Shawn's communication is so prompt and detailed - and Adam did a fantastic job on the installation (which was a bit tricky because of our opening having settled).

He asked what the issue was and was able to help by walking me through some steps to determine the root cause of the problem and also ended up fixing the garage door issue myself. Most company's would come out and charge, but Shawn stayed on the phone with me and a few pics and videos explaining the issue and was able to help me without charge.

Shawn's prompt response to my early morning cry for help wasn't a surprise. Nor was their ability to send someone out so promptly for a diagnosis of the device. This garage door opener had been on borrowed time for the last 10 or so years...but its career in my service ended.
Team Doorman showed me the options, including prices. Were very clear about the uncertain duration of one solution vs. replacement options. No sales push to go one way or another. We also took a close look at the state of the rest of the garage door system to make sure the 24+ year old structure was good.

Shawn and his crew are fast, friendly and professional. Pricing was competitive with his estimate being spot on for my torsion spring replacement. Additionally I ran into an unrelated problem a few months after the replacement and Shawn provided some tips to try before scheduling a service call, which ended up doing the trick. I had read reviews for this company and was not disappointed. Adam explained about the springs that could let go and fly anywhere in the garage. My garage door is 18 years old and had become very noisy. He installed a safety cord through the springs so if and when the springs fail, they will not fly off.
Adam serviced the door and now runs much quieter. He also installed a keypad that I had but did not know how to program it.
Adam was very professional and made no attempt at trying to sell something I did not need at this time.
I would definitely use this company again.

I had a damaged garage door, so I looked on Yelp and found Doorman Service Co. Since it was close by, and had good reviews here, I decided to give this local and family-owned company a try. They did not disappoint. When I called in, a friendly gentleman answered the phone, listened carefully to my questions, and answered my questions thoroughly. He said he could have Adam here in 45 minutes. Almost exactly 45 minutes later, Adam showed up. He fixed the door very quickly, was totally professional and polite, and even identified a safety issue that I had never considered. How much did this cost?

Shawn, Adam and Kim were all so pleasant to speak with when consulting them about a garage parts purchase. Above and beyond does not begin to describe this team. I was getting ripped off by an independent contractor who was installing an auto garage door opener, trying to charge me $170 for an additional part. I saw it on Amazon for $30 (!!) but needed it same day. I called Doorman, they charged me the same as Amazon, went to pick it up. They exposed his other lies and warned me of paying what basically amounted to extortion money when the contractor did not finish the fully paid job properly but

So Sean and Adam were amazing at delivering a quick and speedy installation of 2 openers I have bought from home Depot that they don't carry. It took Adam less the 3 hours to install and the work was perfect and the wires are nice and straight and tight. He programmed everything and they were cheaper then Lowes, home Depot, and precision door. $300 and I couldn't be happier.

We had our door installed by The Doorman decades ago, and they came out this week and quickly updated the motor and all controls. It was an effortless upgrade and our door operates quieter, smoother and relieved a few anxieties when the safety beam would turn off. The "wrinkle" was that my car's Homelink would not work, and I tried, tried, tried to no avail. We asked the company and their representative (shout out for Shawn!) researched and figured out the year of my car was making in incompatible and he found the solution for me. Wow - he got on it, stayed on it and figured it out

The staff was very pleasant and to the point when I called for a quick quote. I booked an appointment. The price was a little less or the same as others, but the woman's friendliness got my business. The gentleman that came out for the repair was on time to the minute and worked as quickly as possible. He even did a little extra than what was charged. I was really impressed by their customer service and respect.

After working a full stressful day, I came home to watch my garage door only move about 8". After checking on the inside the spring had sprung, ugh. Thankfully right by my inside opener button was the Doorman sticker. I called and left my info. They promptly returned my call the next morning and had James at our home within the hour. James replaced both springs, adjusted the chain, lubed the entire system, and checked the batteries in both my car remote and the keyless entry. In addition he walked thru the procedure for programing the code. Courteous, helpful, knowledgeable a pleasure to do
