Nicola refinished several pieces of furniture for me as part of a wider redecoration of our family vacation home and has done an amazing job ensuring I was able to retain the sentiment of some original pieces but incorporate them in to their current surroundings.She was able to restore my Grandfathers 100 year old bedroom set beautifully to the point where the natural damage this set had accrued over its lifetime I was no longer able to notice.
Her choice of paint color and wonderful sense of style brought the pieces back to life without losing any of their original charm and the bedroom now looks beautiful. This wouldn't have been possible had Nicola not taken the time to speak with me about my likes and dislikes and look around my home to see how she could tie the furniture in with the existing decoration.

Nicola Jane Callaghan is the creative director at Nicola Jane Interiors. She defines her style a blend of "rustically vintage" with "current era functionality". Originally from England Nicola started her journey in to Interior Design restoring traditional vintage pieces for her own home. This love for all things design led her to courses in upholstery and creating custom furniture.
Our relationship starts with an initial meeting to talk about the project you have in mind, timescales and budget. This meeting is predominantly about you - what you want to achieve, how you intend to use the space and the look and feel you want. We will also discuss your expectations on overall project management of the various trades.
It is a relaxed space where you can come to seek inspiration and discuss your vision and ideas, browse our wallpaper and fabric books - over a coffee if you like. It is space where you can see the quality of the furnishings, light fixtures, fabrics and 'the finish' you can expect. It is a place where you can buy premium quality paints and wall paper from Farrow and Ball, Thibaut and other well respected suppliers.
I am very grateful to the NJ Herald (Daniel Freel & Cristy Carlson) and to TAPInto Sparta (Jennifer Dericks) for their coverage of the launch week of our new studio - Nicola Jane Interiors. CLIENT BEWARE
When you hire a decorator, one would assume that any issues that may arise during the process would be handled by the professional.
I had multiple problems with furnishings bought through Nicola. I had to chase her to have these problems resolved. I still have issues with pieces that I’ve had to handle myself because I couldn’t get an honest answer from her and/or furniture company.
Nicola’s inability to handle problems/ conflict cost is all my family a lot of time and money.
I would not recommend her based on my experience.

Nicola is professional, creative, understanding and extremely thorough in decorating and designing the space. Nicola transformed my guest room into my little girls’ room and I couldn’t be happier. It’s by the far the most beautiful room in my house and I can’t wait to have her decorate other rooms in my house. If you are looking for someone who is truly passionate about their profession, Nicola is it. You will not be disappointed!

I'm so happy I decided to call Nicola Jane Interioriors! Nicola and her team completely transformed my formal living room. Before Nicola came it was a rarely used and outdated room. I can now say it is the most beautiful room in my home, a room my family and I love spending time in. The room is elegant while still feeling cozy and casual, just what I wanted! From start to finish I had a wonderful experience with them. Nicola worked with my budget and she was always on time. I will definitely being using Nicola Jane Interiors again!
