I spoke with Steve on the phone and he was nice and very easy to talk to. Steve hooked me up with an appointment on the same day.
The repair guy, Marcello, arrived on time, explained the situation easily and made quick work to fix my cooling problem. Marcello even took extra measures to confirm nothing else was wrong with my AC unit.
I heard about the company through good reviews from 2 neighbors, a colleague from work, and from my boss.

As you know, I was visiting our friends condo when their A/C installation was scheduled and I just wanted to let you know that the installation went without a hitch. The technicians did a fantastic job! Very friendly and professional! I wanted to be sure to write a glowing review for how quickly & smoothly the repair of our ductwork was handled by Penguin Air. We had no idea how poor the condition of our ductwork was! If that mildew had not formed in the ceiling in that one small area, we could have gone on for months or years not knowing we had holes in it!
When we called for an inspection of our attic area to see what was causing the mildew, you guys were out within a day! Very quickly the problem was diagnosed, pictures taken of the ripped ductwork and wet insulation from the condensation that was forming from the cold air

Penguin air ripping people off for years I'm one of them this company has got so big that they forgot the most important reason why they had to become successful and that is customer service I'm not going to get into how unsatisfied I am because those who have experienced there bad customer service would know what I'm talking about and those who don't I'm sure will they are unprofessional the way they treat individuals and when they do have somebody call you back they are very very snotty with a bad attitude not to mention they have plenty of ads in all the local radio

Our air wasn't working they came over and replaced the conductor, it switched on and off. He told us the compressor was bad and had to.replace the unit. We asked how much the outside unit would cost and told us the whole thing had to be replaced at 5800. We know that wasn't true since we had the units replaced at different times before. Got a second opion and they put in the capacitor and lo and behold it worked. They just wanted a sale
So instead of 5800 it was 300 and my house is comfortable

I had them come out for service call they quote $49 During the service I was low on refrigerant air causing the unit to freeze up they weren’t able to put the refrigerant air into my air condition because they don’t provide that service and then proceed on Try to sell me a new unit and then increase my service call to $89 when they pull into the driveway and take their tool bag out of the car

Do NOT ever use Penguin serving Air Fort Myers. They installed my unit, we paid $8000 to get the very best and have had nothing but problems. They had to come out 28 times in the first four months after installation of the new unit. Now the unit has failed again and I was told it would be another $800 to fix a 2-year old unit, the part would have be ordered and we'd have to just bear the heat until the part arrived. At the suggestion of a neighbor I called Baker Air, they came out immediately put in 2 pounds of Freon in the system, my Air still blows cold and told me it would be $350 to install

We have been using this company for the past year. Our A/C unit was destroyed and not working after Hurricane Irma. We had already been without power for weeks and we were devastated that when it was turned back on we still had no air...Steve helped us quickly and has continued to keep the maintenance and service on the unit since then. The service techs are always friendly, kind, on time and eager to make sure we are satisfied.

Company was recommended to us by our home watch service. Our old unit needed to be replaced. They came within a few days to replace. The price was right but the unit has been terrible. In less than 2 months we have had 3 service calls. First the technicians did not install the unit properly and it failed inspection. The other two times we needed service because the entire unit was not working properly. Issue is still unresolved. This is Florida - there are many many AC companies to choose from - buyer beware!

When we were talking to Gus about our $6900 4-ton air conditioner, I asked him about the FPL rebate I had heard about ($150). Gus said "they don't offer that anymore." Not true. The fact is that Penguin is not on the FPL list of approved vendors whose customers are eligible for the rebate. I do not like the dishonesty and I contacted Gus about it. No reply. Be careful and call your power company BEFORE you buy!

Their add says someone will show up in two hours, however their dispatcher said someone would call me in two hours to "schedule" an appointment. After 2 1/2 hours, I contacted another AC repair service which came out and made the necessary repairs. After 3 hours, penguins service tech contacted me and stated that he was enroute and would be at my house in about an hour. Told him not to worry about it if they can't even do what their advertisement states. Upon writing this review, I now see the other reviews of other customers. This vendor will never earn my business.

Broke a part. Then charged me for it. Gave me a $600+ bill to diagnose the location of a leak, told me it was in both the compressor unit and the air handler, recommended a new system. Gave me a quote days later ranging from $3500-$5500. I got a second opinion. Turned out to be a simple leak in the line set between the indoor and outdoor unit. Fixed for $300. Technician was either incapable or flat out lied about the leak. Called twice to make a complaint. Someone obviously on a cell phone answered 800 number. I was told Mark would call me back both times. Never heard from him. STAY AWAY from this
