We pump septic tanks for any residential and most commercial applications in the counties of Kane, DuPage, McHenry and DeKalb. Need a riser? We can install concrete or plastic risers to bring your access lids up to State Codes. A - The State of Illinois has set codes for the size of the tank. The size is determined based on the number of bedrooms (not bathrooms) you have in your house.

The wet spot will occur when a septic field is full and can no longer accept any more water from the house. There are usually several septic lines to every septic field. In most cases, the first one fills to capacity and is in "failure" before it will then flow to the second line. As each line goes into "failure", it flows to the next line until it finally reaches the last line.
When drain fields quit working, its often because the soil is too compacted for liquids to drain through it. This causes them to back up into your septic system, and if its bad enough, even into your house. The traditional repair for this is to put in a new drain field, tearing up your yard and costing you thousands.

New tank could not be installed at initial agreed location, so it was moved into the middle of the yard between our patio and pond on the day of install. We agreed to the new location, but were disappointed at the end result. It sticks out of the ground significantly further than we were informed it would. We now have a "nice view of an elevated septic tank" when looking out from our patio, and had to spend several thousand dollars more than was planned to bring in extra dirt. The owner of the company apologized, but was unwilling to provide any discount or options. He explained that I did not

Installed a new system at my house helped me thru the permit process. very professional thru out the process. stood behind his price even though they ran into several issues on the day of installation. Finished the job the same day even though i had mentioned it wasn't necessary as i understood with the water table issues he ran into. Did a really nice job leveling out everything for me to plant grass after the soil settled even though i did not select the seed and blanket option which now looking back on it i should have as the extra money to have that done as well was very reasonable.

I highly recommend Chuck and his crew at Read Septic. I am selling a home and the septic inspection failed. Normally the process of replacing a tank can take weeks, but Chuck helped us speed up things and we did it -- permits, etc. -- in about a week. What impressed me most was Chuck's prompt communication and timeliness. He called when he said he would and showed up on time. Chuck is very impressive and clearly knows the septic business. Don't hesitate to call him!
