Brake Fire Protection, Inc. is a Stratford Connecticut based fire sprinkler contractor. Since our founder Roger H. Brake, Jr. started the company in 1978 we have installed and serviced fire sprinkler systems in thousands of buildings. We are a full service fire sprinkler contractor that specializes in the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and the repair of all types of new and existing fire sprinkler systems.
We are capable and experienced in many types of building occupancies including commercial, industrial, residential, warehouse distrubution, health care including group homes, financial, religious, entertainment, and educational facilities. Although we work in all of Connecticut we have an especially strong daily presence in Fairfield and New Haven counties.
Our field personel are all members of Sprinkler Fitters Local 669 and F1 or F2 licensed by the State of Connecticut.

As a kid growing up I always heard stories about the Brake men and how my father, grandfather, and even great-grandfather all worked as fire sprinkler fitters. Way before I was born, my grandfather, Roger Sr., who was working for Grinnell at the time, moved from Georgia to Bridgeport, Connecticut to do a job there.

Proper testing and inspection of fire sprinkler systems is critical and yet often neglected. Regular testing is extremely important to ensure the proper operation of fire sprinkler systems. NFPA pamphlet 25 and Connecticut fire codes require certain things be done on a regular basis. Connecticut requires these tasks be done by owners or by state licensed fire sprinkler contractors.
