Our company was founded in 1976 by Joseph Bosze Sr. In the late 1970's, the energy crisis hit the U.S., creating very high energy bills for homeowners. Joe saw a need to provide customers with wood stoves and inserts to combat those high heating bills. As the years went by, the fireplace industry grew, as did Joe's business.
Fireplace inserts are a great way to turn your inefficient fireplace into a beautiful, functional, and convenient fireplace. With the push of a button you can turn the unit on and off at your leisure, providing maximum comfortability. Heat & Glo gas inserts fit directly into an existing wood burning fireplace turning it into beautiful and efficient heat source, without a major renovation.
Vermont Castings are true cast iron stoves, manufactured in Randolph. Vermont. Started in 1975 by Duncan Syme & Murray Howell. They developed a wood stove that would battle rising energy costs of the late 1970's, aptly named the "Defiant", which would turn into being their flagship model for the company and one of the best selling wood stove of all time.

Tried other places in my area; can’t say enough about the AWESOME SERVICE and fair pricing at Northfield Fireplace. First time fabulous Larry came out he had to repair the situation left by a competitor in North Royalton. No matter what the issues might be for our fireplace and wood-burning stoves, I am confident Larry can get them fixed. He always has a kind word for my 3 dogs and doesn’t hesitate to scratch a few ears! Everyone I have come in contact with has been friendly and most helpful. Don’t hesitate - these folks KNOW what they’re doing!

Good selection fast installation. Worked great for about the 1st month before it started turning itself on and off. Took a little while to get fixed and we used it for a month or so.
Went to turn it on this Winter to use and it won't stay lit keeps turning itself back off. No problem they can come to look at it 3 months from now...
And $249 to come look at lit.
So very disappointed,

My wife & I are extremely pleased with our new gas fireplace logs! Tim and Joe did a great job on the installation. Tim’s Ability to drill a hole for our new gas line from OUTSIDE of the chimney, to where it needs to exit INSIDE of a fireplace box that is UNDERGROUND, Is Truly Impressive!
The gas logs produce a BEAUTIFUL FIRE, and the “Instant On/Off” will be super convenient when the cold weather arrives!

I highly recommend this business. They were very helpful with the purchasing of our new gas fireplace. The final price was exactly as quoted and it was ready for installation within the time frame we were given. The installers were great! Careful, efficient, considerate of my home and meticulous in their work. They even managed to clean the old base so that it looks like new. And they double checked everything before they left.

I ordered a fireplace insert from North Field Fireplace and I must say the entire experience was great. I drove five hours to pick up the insert at their location, the communication was great. I worked with Keith and he was always willing to help when I needed help installing it myself. Thanks guys !!

I was extremely impressed with Eric (my sales rep). Do to the Covid pandemic I did my research on line rather than in store, so I had a few more questions than the average consumer. Eric addressed my issues and got the ball rolling . I cannot end this review without complimenting the installation crew. The lead man came and did the final measurements and gave me some tips on the usage and care of my fireplace insert and when the installation was complete we never knew they had been there. They rolled out a tarp to cover the carpet and left our house as clean as when they came. It's so nice to deal

We recently moved to the area into a 1960's home that had no fireplace! In an area where homes often have multiple, we had none. Thankfully, we had a wall that was perfect for it and it was clear where it would belong. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we were able to have a beautiful direct-vent gas fireplace installed that is stately, traditional for the period of the home yet modern. The fireplace makes quite the statement when you enter the room, and it kicks out a ton of heat!
