Ordered in late November. Couple of weeks later the doors were installed. Waited on the logs, rack and remote control assembly. Some communication breakdown after about a month. Gentleman arrived today (earlier than scheduled) and put it all together
My wife and I are totally impressed with the appearance and performance of our "new " fireplace.
Would have given 5 stars if not for the phone calls not returned. But totally satisfied with the work.

The owner, Dave, was very helpful in helping us find a fireplace insert, when his competitors just down I-75 a bit said there are not any that will fit your fireplace. Happily, we purchased a unit. The installation date was later confirmed. The installers were fantastic. They did a great job! However, an essential part was not loaded for the installation to be complete. We were told that they would be back in a couple of weeks to complete the installation. Nobody has called, when we call we get told someone will call when they are in the area working and will come by, and if all else fails, Dave

Unfriendly customer service. My husband and are interested in converting our gas fireplace with an electric conversion. The lady who initially asked us if she could help us said we would have to hire someone to build the outer part for a new frame, which we were confused why when we just wanted a conversion that might submit a small amount of heat. Then, a man sitting behind a desk tried helping us referring us to a company who manufactures the electric insert we wanted. No help whatsoever. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE. 👎

The technician was friendly as is the person fielding calls. There is a breakdown in communication between the tech and the office. I had to call for an update after I was told I'd receive a follow up call that afternoon or evening. Didn't get a call again.
Can't rate work but the tech was very knowledgeable and knew precisely the issue with my gas fireplace and gave me options, but that was it.

I had been to a few stove shops before visiting The Firehouse for getting a wood burning stove or a wood burning insert. Folks couldn't help me for less than $10,000. Other folks ceased communication.
I came to Dave with my special situation and thanks to him I have a Vermont Castings Encore sitting on my fireplace hearth and it works quite well! The Firehouse has made me so very happy. And I didn't spend $10,000 either. Maybe the Firehouse isn't a bargain basement place to shop, but Dave has a lifelong customer in me and I feel like I got my money's worth. This place had everything I needed to fix my gas fireplace, and much more! Dave was a tremendous help! I bought a remote control starter, and he walked me through the installation steps before I walked out the door. I thought service like that was dead, but Dave is keeping it alive. We contacted these people in December to fix our fireplace in the house we bought. We waited for over 30 days until they finally could fit us in. They replace the module for the electrical starter. This was about $400 including the service call. We called at least twice and said we were having an exhaust fumes. We were told twice that the system needed to be burned off since the house had been sitting vacant. Finally in March another repairman, their supposed top repairman was to come fix our problem which was toxic fumes. We were home and were having some issues with the doorbell so we never knew

I recently decided to replace my built-in grill. I reached out to several area companies and ask for quotes. Most of them were very slow to give me a bid and their follow up was not very good. I found myself following up with them instead of them following up with me. I decided to send an email to the Firehouse and I got a quick & fair bid back that better than the others. They came to my house and installed the grill. The installation process and the overall process was great. I definitely recommend David and everyone else at Firehouse.

Walked in and was helped right away. They showed me a few grills that were discounted by the brand I wanted. Really pleased with that offer. When I requested a specific model, they had one left and out the door I went with the all the accessories I wanted.
Very friendly and helpful, prices were as good or better than any big box or online retailer. It's a smaller shop and very comfortable, but they have a lot of options and great service. Just the way I prefer to do business.

Took my gas fireplace apart and brought some parts in to replace. The owner gave me some free advice, and told me not to purchase the parts I thought I needed. Appreciate his honesty and willingness to not sell me stuff I didn't need. The community needs more honest business owners like this gentleman. His thoughts helped me resolve the issue myself. I will be purchasing some new accessories and bbq equipment here to pay it forward.

Dave and the crew literally made my 10 year in the making dream come true. They took a red brick monstrosity and turned it in to a see through, double sided beauty! We can enjoy it with ease in TWO ROOMS! They knew my budget and did everything they could to make it happen. Above and beyond customer service, for sure. They were all informative and knowledgeable. We were expecting out of town company and wanted to purchase gas logs to fill our empty fireplace. Dave was very nice on the phone and went out of his way to get white birch logs from the warehouse and I was able to pick them up the same day. However, they fail miserably in greeting the customer once you enter the store. There wasn't anyone in sight and no verbal greeting even tho they had to know we were there. We called ahead to make sure they could do a full gas fireplace replacement, they confirmed they could. Helped us decide on size, type, and answered all our questions. In and out of the store in less than 30 min. Paid for install, they were available next day and very clean and professional. Removing our old pipe was difficult but he got it done and new setup is perfect. Great end to end experience!

Had callout diagnostic to replace valve on a fireplace. Service person 'fixed' the valve saying it might work one day or one year. It only worked that one day. On contacting the company afterward no one was willing to call me back to arrange to repair it. Now if I go to a different company, I'll have to pay for another callout diagnostic plus the replacement. Why wouldn't it be in Firehouse's interest to repair my valve? Strange.

My husband and I walked in this Wednesday intending to buy some gas logs for our fireplace. We were greeted immediately and once we indicated what we needed, we were taken to a beautiful wall full of set up gas log displays, with some even functioning in fireplaces. We decided to go with a wood oak look. The price was decent for the quality, and, since we didn't want to ruin anything with installation ourselves, we asked the business to come out and install the logs, just to make sure everything was done correctly. Today is the second time I've attempted to come here and shop. Both times I've come, there are two or more individuals talking to one customer, and they won't even so much as acknowledge that I have walked in the building. Today I came in to buy doors and drawers because my outdoor barbecue is being built next week, I walked in and ready to spend, and couldn't even get a hello. There is a basic level of respect that you show a customer when he walks into your building, they have blown it twice. I walked in because they are local, I will now drive 5 miles down the road to buy

Amazing is all I can say David and his daughter ( so cute) came out and delivered me a new grill and have had it for 9 years now and love it , works like its brand new amazing food and I can cook eggs and bake on it too ! I had also moved into a new house and there was a rusty set of logs so David came out again and made it look magnificent, I was a stoned at such a great price too. They work with your price range and are alawys on time and are amazing at there job thanks -bob .C

The products are fine, installers did ok yet the business follow up and follow through on commitments were awful! Had an appt for install, I called when they were 30 min late to find they hadn't given the appt to anyone for that day. Have been waiting now for 2 months for a grate they said would take 3 weeks. I have to call every time, they never call me & don't call back when they say they will. Highly disappointed!

I used the Firehouse to service/start the pilot light on my gas logs. I was able to quickly get a service appointment when I called. Rafael came out for the service call and he was very nice, efficient, and professional. He quickly got a tricky pilot flame and remote control working. He offered suggestions for placement of some of the log pieces and embers and he was absolutely correct. His suggestions made the fire much more attractive. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend the FireHouse.
