Afford-A-Rooter
We are very proud of the reputation we have earned in Denver since our beginnings in 2006. It comes from our focus on a customer first experience while providing quality and affordable plumbing, drain, sewer and water heater services.

Our plumbers have the licenses, accreditations, reputation, equipment, qualifications and experience for any plumbing services, whether they are large or small, residential or commercial, above ground or underground in Denver.Make us your go-to plumbing contractors so we can prove it to you. Plumbing disasters are a guarantee, even diligently sticking to a preventative maintenance schedule can't assure their diversion.

Because all plumbing fixtures and pipes will eventually wear out, and because they don't stick to "banker's hours" when they decide to go, we have plumbing contractors on call at all hours. We know that plumbing problems quickly snowball in disasters, so our master plumbers are available in Denver at all hours of the day, seven days a week to handle these inevitable issues for you.
Services
Afford-A-Rooter Plumbing is a leading plumbing, drain, sewer, and water heater contractor serving homes and businesses in the Denver metro area. We go beyond repair and maintenance, providing remodels and new construction outfitting. Our plumbing technicians possess all the necessary permits and certification to carry out any plumbing service in Colorado.
The toilet is overflowing, the basement is flooded, water is flowing out from inside your walls, a drain is backing up. There are a number of reasons to call a 24-hour emergency plumbing service in Denver, if you need one you probably know why. But what can you do while you wait for one, and what should you expect when they arrive?
Plumbing replacement in Denver can be very expensive, so oftentimes plumbing repair is the best option, to keep everything going until a full renovation can be completed. A fixture dripping 10 drops a minute can waste almost 300 gallons of water a year, costing you a fortune. Our plumbing contractors are adept at doing repairs while staying inside a tight budget to keep your plumbing working properly.
All fixtures and pipes in Denver will need plumbing replacement eventually. There are a few signs to look for if you are concerned it might be time for an upgrade. The water out of your tap should be clear because any discoloration is a sign of distressed pipes. Pipe material is another consideration as older cast iron and galvanized steel pipes are a sign that an upgrade is needed soon.
Plumbing inspections in Denver are performed if you are buying or selling a home, after you've done renovations like kitchen or bathroom remodel, are interested in switching to tankless water heater or you just want one and/or haven't had a full home plumbing inspection in years. Denver homes that were built in the early 20th century often used cast iron and galvanized steel piping that can last about 80 years.

Afford-A-Rooter was recommended by our contractor. We made appt on 11/10 for 11/11 between 9-11 with an estimate of 180-200. Noon and no one arrived and no call. We left message and ended up speaking with Natalie. Blah blah new computer system let me see what we can do. Called back and said between 3-5. Great (not so much) .... I explained that I have an appt that I made in September at 4 pm. Natalie said "Let me see who is in the area." Called back and said someone was finishing up and could be there by 1. Ok, I won't have to cancel my appt. Five minutes later I received

I have been using Afford-A-Rooter for many years, doing yearly maintenance cleanings of my line. AJ has been out to my house many times, is always professional and I have no issues with the line so he's doing something right! The last time I called, they sent someone else out, who didn't do a great job, but I called the office to complain and they sent AJ back out, and he took care of it. I will be explicitly asking for AJ now!

They had several open schedules to get us taken care of the same afternoon that I requested a price quote for a slow kitchen drain. They were prompt and ran into an issue during the cabling of the pipe which they assessed and offered a remedy to fix the issue at a fair price. Will use them again.

They showed up, could not get the drain pipe cleared, still cost me $189. They were supposed to return today to finish the job, did not show up, did not call. Buyer beware. Worst service ever.

I called Afford-A-Rooter to get a 2nd opinion after another company (Rooter Town) told me they couldn't clear my sewer line and that I needed to spend thousands of dollars to excavate and repair the sewer line. Caleb with Afford-A-Rooter came out and was able to clear the line without any issues saving me thousands of dollars on un-necessary work. He was on-time, very polite and walked me through everything. I'll be setting up an appointment with them to come out yearly to avoid this in the future. Thank you!

We ended up getting billed the time the driver got lost coming to our site and ended costing 4x more then they quoted. I sent the driver a map and directions but still he got lost. Now we asked them to start a service and they will not answer our emails. This company lacks professionalism.

Ok. So I feel compelled to write this due to one main issue. Her name is Sue.

A few months ago, I called to see about getting our water heater replaced with a tankless and having them come out to scope our lines. When I called I was transferred to a woman named Sue. When she finally stopped speaking to someone in what I assume is her office, she seemed instantly annoyed that she was speaking to me. As I was trying to ask questions, she was exceedingly rude and condescending. I was literally in shock for the length of time I had to be on the phone with her.
I asked to speak to her manager several

Had a guy out on an emergency and he stopped the leak but had to order a part for long term fix. It's been 3 1/2 months and I can't get a return call or the work completed. Lost a customer fir sure.

After a few years of timely and good service, Afford-a-Rooter ghosted us for no apparent reason. Based on their previous work and recommendations, I called them a few months ago to have them do our annual main line cleaning... after leaving *three* messages that went unanswered, I went with another company.

When one of our lines backed up into our basement yesterday, I gave Afford-a-Rooter another try since they claim to have 24/7 service. Despite the promise on their voicemail to call back quickly, it's been 22 hours and still no return phone call. (EDIT: 3 days later, still no return

Not true to their contract nor their word - don't recommend doing business with them!

We had our sewer line replace. Was told that the concrete would be repaired and the sprinklers/fence would be back to the way it was. We are still waiting for the rest of the concrete to be repaired - left multiple messages and even spoke with the office staff that said they would call back, but never did. When it came to "putting back the sprinklers", our sprinklers still aren't working (and they previously were) and the response I got was - well we only say that we will put them back...I

The worse plumbing company out there. Try them if you want to cry later.
They didn't do a proper job because of which the water leaked to the floor downstairs and when called for repair it seems like they don't want to fix their mistake. They don't return your call.

We had a backup at our rental property and they came out same day and took care of the issue immediately. I was also to pay over the phone as we are out of state landlords. Will be calling for our annual roto root next month.

###CAUTION### Be very careful when using this service. I experienced many problems when hiring them for a pretty basic sewer clean and scope. Something that any sewer professional can provide for much less than they charged. $410 to not clean the line and suggest digging up front yard to install $2500 clean outs even though there was an sewer access in the crawl space. Another sewer company came along and did the job charging me much less than the $410 these clowns charged me (even though they didnt do the job, and wanted another 2500 to attempt the job again). I really like these guys, and yet they have not done any plumbing work for me. What? Well, they came out once to clear the exterior sewer line, but I could not find the access due to it having been covered in vegetation. No charge, and he came back the next day when I had located it. He checked the line and it wasn't clogged. No charge... just an interior clogged line, and he explained why other issues were causing our other problems. You bet I'll call them again. You don't often find honesty like that.

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. If you do end up hiring them, here are some tips:
- Get everything in writing
- Do not expect them to honor their promises
- Call the week before, the day before, and the day they're supposed to come to make sure they don't flake on you
- Hire a separate company to inspect their work
- Call your city to find out if the work needs a permit

I'll spare you the 900-word essay. This is what they did to us:
- Moved the appointment without telling us
- Lied about the work they would do
- Only did half the job

To start with, I called several different plumbing company's and was very overwhelmed by the lack of quotes, not wanting to deal with my difficult plumping issues as well as straight bullying to take on their company. After reading reviews, I called very upset and the front desk lady was extremely sympathetic to my challenges, and said she would send her best man out... Luis.
Luis was one if not the best people we have dealt with during problems that arise as a home owner. He quickly and quietly came to our home, didn't wake the baby during a nap and completely solved our major plumbing
