Our hardwood re-finishing job presented a couple of challenges. The floor had previously been stained black and it is a mid-century modern home with recessed (integrated) baseboards. As a result, the refinisher had to sand right up against the wall, without damaging it since there are no baseboards to hide the edges.

I called Carolis Flooring and within 24hrs Steve came by to provide an estimate. Only a couple of days later, we had picked out a stain and they had begun their work.
Steve kept us well informed throughout the entire process with updates via text and progress pictures.

I had my old hardwood floors resurfaced as they were extremely dull as well as having many stains. Carolis Flooring had resurfaced my neighbors floors and after witnessing their floors and the positive feedback from my neighbors, I decided to hire them. I am in love with the floors and the shine. It looks brand new. What a difference my house looks. Steve, the owner had encountered a problem with how the initial floors came out, after sanding for two days, then applying two coats, he was not happy how the floors looked. Steve and his team did an amazing job on a small one bedroom project for us. His bid was very competitive but more importantly he was able to get started right away. The floors hasn’t been sanded in 35 years and they look brand new. The crew was there exactly when they said they would be. Great experience for us.

Steve and his guys are pros. We had the floors of our home sanded, stained and urethaned, and everything turned out beautifully, especially considering how old and neglected the floors were. Affordable, clean and prompt. Nice to have someone trustworthy too, as we had this done while we were out of town. Steve provided a lot of helpful advice on maintenance in addition to answering other flooring questions we had. I highly recommend him for any hardwood floor services.
