Austin Outdoor Lighting Design Owner James Snow has built a dream team of designers, and technicians and our talents are focused 100 percent on your landscape lighting project. We have served Austin from our current location since 2008. Bob Householder: Illumination systems engineer with several issued & pending patents in illumination systems/lenses.
At Austin Outdoor Lighting Design, we offer an array of residential outdoor lighting solutions to completely transform your home or business. We use top-of-the-line made in the USA fixtures from garden Light LED, that are durable and built to last a lifetime. We can Repair, Upgrade, or Extend you existing system.
We are happy to repair your current system or consider a new system, we are happy to discuss the advantages of socket based and integrated systems. No Bulbs to Change - Integrated fixtures do not have bulbs. Socket based fixtures do have the flexibility of different wattage, beam spread and kelvin when changed out.
The answer will vary, and it may be necessary to look at an old electric bill to determine the electric companies' rate. Usually the cost of electricity is measured in kilowatt hours. The average national rate is 11.53 cents per kilowatt hour. To find out the monthly cost it will require a little math.
The nature of the consultation will depend on your location. If possible, I like to visit your home or commercial location to see where the work will ultimatley live and get an idea of personal tastes. We can also do this from a disctance via phone and email. Austin outdoor Lighting Design is the best in Austin by far. Solar lighting wears out over a period of time. I hooked it up to my Alexa app and the outside at night is bright when I come home from work through my Alexa in my car. Makes my wife feel safe when it’s late and dark.

I was referred to Austin Outdoor Lighting design by the company that installs my Christmas Lights. When I called James about doing some landscape lighting he was very responsive and knowledgeable. I was shocked, especially with everyone backed up right now, how quick he was able to get started and get the job done. Fernando was fantastic and you can’t even tell where the wires are buried.
I’m extremely pleased with the result of my project and would definitely recommend James and Austin Outdoor Lighting Design. I’m sure I’ll have them out again to add more lights!

James went above and beyond to update our outdoor lighting. From replacing bulbs to relocating existing fixtures, and installing new and improved fixtures - it was clear that James cared about doing a great job. He gave us excellent advice and helped us maximize our budget. We were able to prioritize lighting for safety, and were also able to significantly improve our overall lighting layout. Both the front and back yards look great!

Very happy with the work from Austin Outdoor Lighting Design. James and team were professional and friendly. They had great design ideas for lighting the exterior of my home, highlighting trees and limestone features of the house. Price was fair and reasonable (especially after getting some ridiculous bids from other companies in Austin) and work done right. Would highly recommend for your lighting needs.
