The real problem is that these blades are full of dirt. They are now flat across instead of cupped. These are just beating the air, not pushing it. This unit will have to run for hours trying to move the air it could move in minutes if it were clean. We have seen furry motors like this one get so hot, the wires melt and actually catch fire inside the furnace.
The inside is where it matters, and this coil is actually completely stopped up. Not one of the fins is visible. The air is being blocked where it should be free flowing across the coils. This is a result of running a unit without a filter or not changing the filters often enough. Dirty coils (both inside and outside) cause a unit's airflow and efficiency to plummet.
This is the bottom of the same double "A" coil and both sides are completely stopped up. Some of the layer of filth has been removed to show the fins underneath that should be visible on the entire unit. If the heat exchanger has any cracks at all, even a small one, the poison gases will be drawn into the inside air.

Thank you for the great service. We had two units installed and Hendrickson Air & Heating staff were very polite, on time and always professional, I know that they are a call away if I have questions. They were referred to me by a friend and after a year of procrastinating and shopping around I couldn't be happier by the final choice of using Hendrickson Air & Heating. Dave Hendrickson serviced our Trane HVAC system about 9 months ago when we first had heating problems. Then, in the summer he fixed the air conditioner unit outside after a bad storm blew the capacitor. With the first service call, he noted the age of the system and it's need for full replacement, but by fixing it, it gave us time to organize our funds. In September, we asked him to do the full replacement.

David Hendrickson repaired our Trane heater and later our Trane air conditioner even though they were outdated (twenty years old). This gave us an extra 6 months of time to get funds and for him to get equipment for our newer Trane Hvac system. For each visit his prices were reasonable and his response times exceptional. I like that he specializes in Trane.

I have been associated with air conditioning for my 50+ year career and have used Hendrickson Air for the last 5+ years. Would have used them sooner but didn't know about Dave Hendrickson until then. They do the right repair at a fair price and excellent quality workmanship. Dave is a bit of a character so count on some entertainment when he takes care of you but rest assured he will make your repair what you need and only that (no entertainment fee either.)

Dave Hendrickson is my "go to" guy when my home AC or Heater fails. I have been a customer for approximately 15 years. Dave has replaced AC units in both my daughter's home and mine. He is honest, reliable and skilled. Following an electrical storm a couple of years ago, the Capacitator in my TRANE unit caught fire. I contacted Hendrickson, and Dave came over immediately and replaced the damaged unit.
