Swedin Tree Service has a long tradition of doing business in Utah. We've been at it since 1956! It was started by Fred Swedin, who after retiring, has handed over the company to his son, Jim. We are one of only a few private tree companies in Utah that has a Horizontal Grinder that can grind a whole tree into five foot diameter cube of earth-friendly mulch.
We had Swedin Tree Experts (Jim) out to our backyard today to remove 2 very difficult large tree stumps. He was very thorough and got Blue Stakes approval, days prior. This attention to safety and detail made us very comfortable using his services. He was very capable and operated his machine with skill.
I was super impressed with his ability to navigate down our difficult back yard terrain. He was also VERY affordable. We compared multiple quotes and he was hands down the most reasonably priced. THANK YOU JIM! We can finally move on with our backyard projects! The owner came to see the trees I needed removed the day I called.

We handle projects large and small and always provide thorough cleanup and disposal as well as minimal impact on your property.
As long as there have been trees growing in the forest, there has been mulch on the ground beneath the trees. Gardens can benefit from mulch as much as natural forests, and chipped wood makes an excellent mulch! Jim came out shortly after my call. He talked to the owner next door to get permission to use his parking lot to gain access with his bucket truck. This extra precaution helped insure the limbs would not hit a car or take out the fence. He did the job very efficiently at a fair price. I would highly recommend his services.

Jim was absolutely great working with me. I've used him twice now. The first time he was able to remove two pretty big Ash trees in a very tight area in my backyard. He and his team were very quick and careful under difficult circumstances since the two trees were very close to the house. I definitely recommend him for your work and will use him again in the furture.

We've used Swedin Tree Experts twice to remove large, difficult trees and both times they did exceptional work. Jim is very knowledgeable and helped diagnose problems with several trees in the yard. He went above and beyond to make sure the work was done quickly and done right. I really appreciate how professional and thorough he is. We will definitely use Swedin Tree Experts again!

Jim Swedin and his staff did exceptional work for me. I was particularly impressed with how Jim explained to me step by step what he recommended be done--and also what he did not recommend be done, saving what he knowledgeably saw as unnecessary expense, which is so appreciated and can be quite rare. And Jim is as friendly and personable as they come. There is no question in my mind who I will always call for tree service or recommend to others.

This is the second time we have used Swedin Trees to trim the trees around our house and both times I have been very happy! Both times I was not home when Jim came but he contacted me after the work was done to make sure I was happy. The second time I forgot to tell him about a dead part of a tree that needed to be taken out and he came back and did it for no charge. I am very happy with his work and will be using him again in the future!
