I highly recommend Cupertino Roofing. Dave, the owner, was very responsive and communicative throughout the entire process from initial assessment to final inspection. The quote for a new roof was very competitive and with the service we received I feel that it was a good value.
The crew installing the new roof were great too! There was a lot involved with removing the existing two roofs, and a lot of mess to. They cleaned up everything and even went so far as to receive packages when we weren't home. Overall I'm very pleased with the work and service provided by Cupertino Roofing

Dave was responsive and gave me a good quote, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. He took the time to come down and see the roof's condition. The quote and actual price was very close and fixed all the dry rot he found and the cost added to the quote was minimal. I'd recommend people get Dave to give a quote for their houses. Some roofers wouldn't even come to look and would give a quote with a lot of contingencies.

We had an older, two story roof that needed more than just a standard reroof as it required mitigation and carpentry work. Not many roofing contractors were willing to take on the big job but David Smith of Cupertino Roofing was here to help. The project finished seamlessly, on time, and at the quoted price. We have a kind of typical 50 year old rancher in Cupertino. We had Cal Pac install a metal roof about 25 years ago but decided it was finally time to go solar and needed to change the roof first. We had a wood shake roof under our metal roof . We called 3 of the most reputable companies we could identify, one of which was no longer installing in the South Bay. We got bids from Cupertino and another reputable firm named after another South Bay city. They found some wood rot which they replaced, new gutters (of course) and mesh gutter screens.

This year, I needed Dave's help for attaching a roof antenna to the existing mast on the upper roof, where it was too dangerous for me to climb. The work was done quickly. Trucks arrived with the right materials at the right time. The roofers worked hard and effectively. They got along well together--the atmosphere was a cheerful one. What was especially noticeable was the clean-up at the end, both on the roof and around the exterior of the house. I found only one scrap of tarpaper; everything else was picked up. I have known Dave for over a decade, he is honest, funny and straightforward. He is one of the easiest contractors I have ever worked with. Our new roof, gutters and skylights went in as promised with no surprises. Dave came by personally later to install the solar blinds (as they weren't ready when the roof went in). Dave and crew were professional to deal with. Scheduling is always a little complicated because they need dry weather to work in and are very busy during then. However, we eventually found a time that worked for everyone.

We just had our roof replaced in March and we are so glad we went with CUPERTINO ROOFING. We got a few quotes from different companies but I chose CR because they had what I considered to be the friendliest and most professional customer service. After the initial quote I was thinking we would have to wait a month or more to get the work done as the weather wasn't cooperating and I know roofing companies are always super busy. Our old shack roof was falling apart and we needed some quick repair before we were ready for new one. Dave the owner responded and we got the patch work completed quickly. At the same time, I requested for a quote and the amount came in at a very reasonable price. We then scheduled our target new roof date where our old roof was teared down and the new one was put up. Micah came over to give us a quote on replacing the roof since I knew it was old and we had some leaks in the garage. He said the problems could be repaired and since it was $600 instead of $20K we went with the repairs.
The next time it rained the garage was still leaking and I sent Micah an email, just to find that he was no longer with the company. The owner came out the same day and told me that the problem was in a different part of the roof than had been repaired. We agreed that I would pay for some materials and they put a new ridge line on the roof, which seems to have stopped the leaks

Earlier this month, Cupertino Roofing replaced our existing wood shake roof with a new asphalt composition roof. Before we hired Cupertino Roofing, we received bids from 5 roofing companies.
