The specific finish is dependant on the size of the abrasive grit used and the time the material was involved in the process.

I am so happy to have found Kurt. He does excellent work and cleans everything when he is done. He kept me informed on what was happening throughout the process. He shows great pride in his work and that is why this is the second time we hired him. The first time in 2017 to
remodel two bathroom and retile kitchen floor in one of our condos. The second time to tile all of the two bedroom condo and lanai. Everyone who sees it loves it. I do recommend Kurt to handle any type of tile work. I would also hold off on my remodel until Kurt to available to do your project.

Simply, we are totally pleased with Kurt Duval’s work installing natural stone on our lanai. I personally am pretty demanding when it comes to the level of care and competence that I expect. Kurt greatly exceeded my expectations!
I’m an engineer and I design/build things for a living; Kurt did extraordinary work on a very difficult project. The challenge was installing square and rectangular natural stone tiles with minimal grout lines on top of an existing concrete lanai. To top it off, Kurt had to chip away concrete so the top of the new tile surface matched existing pool edging. Frankly

So Happy to have met Mr. Duval while renovating my Master Bathroom. Kurt is such a perfectionist, which was greatly appreciated. His attention to detail is impressive, he takes a lot of pride in his work. He won't compromise to finish sooner, and he was always very honest, on time, and most of all Clean!! Its hard to find someone here on Maui who is that prideful of his product. I highly recommend him for any tile, and renovation jobs. And I must also add that Kurt is a nice human being, we are blessed to have him here on Maui.

Kurt Duval recently helped us with the cleaning and sealing of our shower tile and the installation of a new shower door in our condo in Kihei. This gentlemen is the definition of a true professional. Kurt was very conscientious about his work. He minimized mess during demo as we were living in the construction. He's a great collaborator when we had design ideas and his attention to detail really made his work stand above the rest as we are thrilled with the finished tile design.
His professional pride in his work shines thru; he took it upon himself to implement corrections when necessary to make the tile we chose much better when flaws were discovered in the tile we purchased.
Highly recommend using this company and in fact will be using him again for our next reno project.

My wife and I were so happy we contracted with Kurt Duval to tile our kitchen backsplash. Kurt was referred to us by Jim Duran of Exclusively Yours. Jim referred 3 local tile specialists for our consideration. We liked Kurt’s attitude and his knowledge of similar projects to what we envisioned.

My wife and I used Kurt Duval about 18 years ago for our large living room and kitchen and hallways. He did an excellent job at the time. Now, we had a really tricky job and I called Kurt back up to look at a shower floor that started leaking from another stone installation almost 10 years ago. Kurt was confident he could make it look really good and not look like it was patch work job. He gently cut out the bottom squares without breaking the old walls and water sealed and replaced the flooring in a light brown colored stone with a simple pattern. It was really magic how much better its looks

We have hired Kurt three times to date. Our condo was the first. On the floor, Kurt created interest by running the porcelain tiles at a diagonal in the center of the floor with a border of straight tiles along the walls, and he even mitered the corner tiles diagonally. He placed green slate in the shower and on the kitchen backsplash. The tile work of the condo was stunning!
Since then, we hired Kurt for two more bathroom projects. He always keeps the job as clean as can be
