We see trees and the land that supports them as integral parts of the ecosystems we advocate for, but we also view them, in a much broader sense, as directly interconnected to our larger planet, as a whole. We all know that trees & plants produce many products our world has come to heavily rely upon.
The removal featured below was a very sad Sudden Oak Death disease case. We hated to see this magnificent Quercus agrifolia (California Live Oak) grandmother tree go, but she had failed and had to be taken down for safety reasons. We highly recommend, if you have Oak trees, to have them evaluated, and, if indicated, to have them treated.
I was lucky enough to be born into an area with large trees in Northern California, so climbing trees has been part of my life since I was a young boy. Of course, there came a time when I had to fledge the nest and I realized I needed to make a living, so naturally tree climbing and trimming, which was already part of my life, just made sense as a profession.

Zac gave the crew detailed descriptions about what I wanted done. They did a FANTASTIC job. I am thrilled. AND I am amazed - the main reason I did this is so that our fig trees would seek the sun on OUR side of the fence rather than sprawling into our neighbor's yard. In TWO days two of the large branches are "standing" straight up! I am watching carefully to see when one more big branch will come back over the fence line. So a HUGE thank you to Zac and the crew!

Zach is the best! I Had two large pine trees quickly dying in my backyard precariously close to high voltage PG&E wires which always made me nervous. I reached out to a few arborists and Zac responded quickly and was out to inspect the trees fast. He coordinated with PG&E to view the trees and make trims near the wires. In the end, PG&E determined the trees so highly hazardous that they needed to come down asap and they completed the removal themselves. Zac understood the situation and was gracious and professional with me the entire time. He was happy for me that I saved money even

Happy to report a great experience! Zach was friendly, knowledgeable and made our family feel at ease that the job would get done. His crew showed up on time ready to go. Did an amazing job, leaving the tree that was once scary, huge, worrisome looking great and cleared up so much space. We are thankful for them and our yard looks great! Thanks again! The big winds we had last Sunday in Petaluma blew over 1/2 of our very large Ash tree onto the neighbors property, making it more of an emergency situation. After calling three 3 tree service or Arborists, I immediately received a text, phone call and email all from Zach and his staff at Sonoma-Marin Arborists. As my luck would have it, he just so happened to be in Petaluma removing Eucalyptus trees along E. Washington with his Crane! How often do you call an arborist who just happened to be in your neighborhood with a giant crane? A crew of six arrived later that morning with the crane & removed

With what seemed like a complicated job of big trees in tight residential spaces, bees and smaller messy trees, this team took care of it with ease, skill and extreme professionalism.
The proposal was extremely competitive, complete with proof of credentials. I'm so happy to have this team in control because when they showed up with all the appropriate equipment for this job, I was extremely confident this was going to be a smooth operation

Zac provided a detailed and professional proposal to trim the 9 redwoods we have across the back of our property. Leo and crew showed up on time and worked all day to complete the task. The result is excellent and just as we requested with no debris left behind. I'll use these guys again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fair price and professional job.

These guys did a great job on the removal of three 80 foot redwood trees from our property. The trees were only six feet from our house, creating some concern. After two days they were removed, stumps ground, all the debris cleaned up without any damage to our home. What's more, these guys were the best of three quotes. I would definitely recommend Sonoma Marin Arborists to anyone looking for tree service for a reasonable price.

Hero of the Day "Francisco"....We had a cat, believe to be a "barn cat" wonder in our yard and our dogs chased it out and it went up the tree across the street. After a two days and not coming down we called one Arborist and they never called us back. We then found "Sonoma-Marin Arborists" and they saved the day.
They came over within a few hours when I was at work, located the cat in the tree and managed to get her down safely. We feel so much better that she is not stuck in the tree.

Zach's the man! His crew down three Eucalyptus trees that have gotten out of control. Did the whole job while I was away on vacation. He rescheduled another appointment to get to mine sooner because he was concerned about the trees leaning towards my neighbors homes.
When I got back from my vacation I was welcomed with no more trees threatening to kill my neighbors. I can't even see a trace of them. His prices are also quite fair compared to others. I have some more trees that need attention and I am for sure going to use Sonoma-Marin Arborists again.

We had 3 arborist companies bid the tree and shrub trimming we needed and settled on Sonoma-Marin Arborists. Zac came out to give us a bid and he was great, explained everything and clearly knew his trade. He was our first choice from the beginning. The quote was reasonable. They scheduled the work in a timely manner and the crew that did the work two weeks ago was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They worked very hard and finished in a timely manner. We have a lot of landscaping/plants and they took extra care and didn't damage anything. Their clean-up afterwards was amazing. The

Knowledgeable, competent, professional, and pleasant to work with--that's the low down on my experience with this company. I got a number of estimates and played phone tag with other companies. This one was by far my favorite and I was pleasantly surprised at how competitive their bid was in light of the high quality, detailed evaluation Zac did for the estimate. His office staff was friendly and professional as were the team members that Zac brought to do the work. We got on the schedule quickly. We had a few trees removed, others trimmed and thinned out, and one tree substantially pruned

I just hired this company to remove two trees from my property. One was hanging over my neighbors house and the other was very close to mine. Francisco and his crew were top notch. They were very efficient and got the job done in a timely manner. Extra care was taken not to damage any of my plants and they were very safety conscious. The work was performed to my expectations and when they were done they cleaned everything up really well. If your looking for a company to do a great job then these are the guys. I am a very happy customer.

Needed a tree hanging over house trimmed. Called several tree trimming service and no would get back to me. Zac and his crew were taking out a downed tree for my neighbor. I went over and talked to him. He came over and gave me an estimate. Had a written estimate with in an hour. Had the work done the next week. That did an an outstanding job . They cleaned up everything. Another neighbor contacted them had had several large oak trees trimmed. They did a great job. This is the only tree service that I will use in the future. They do an outstanding job.

As another reviewer noted, Zac and his team are difficult to reach and not very responsive.
We had to contact them several times to get the bid and they were not responsive to our questions after that. On top of this, Zac was prickly and abrasive about scheduling work even when the communication problems were mostly his and his company's fault
