We've been a customer with one of the largest units offered since before this facility was bought by Modern Storage World 4 years ago and never missed a payment. Today, 1 day after our payment was auto drafted for the month, I was told I would be locked out of my unit in 10 days if I didn't produce or purchase from them insurance on my unit. Is this a new policy? I haven't been threatened to be locked out in the last 4 years! I called and the new manager, Eugene, was not helpful and very condescending. How about you go paint a number on my unit so I don't have to count doors to find it instead

We stored our furniture for 8 weeks in their facility while we waited to move into our new home. Knowing it was only 8 weeks, we were fine with it not being climate controlled. However, we were NOT fine with the fact that our unit had holes in the ceiling which allowed rain to pour into our unit and destroy all of our furniture. They told us they could do nothing to help cover damages or even the cost of the rental because we moved out before they saw it. We moved out that evening after all the employees were gone.
