I made a service call to Ted's Appliances when my Whirlpool oven would not heat above 275 degrees and the clock locked up. I spoke to Nick, who set up an appointment for a service call the next day. Nick's Dad, Kevin, came out and checked my oven, found that the temperature gauge had somehow gone from fahrenheit to celsius.

For the last 20+ years we have bought multiple use appliances from A1 Teds. Kevin so had multiple repairs done to different appliances. They used to be really good however I'm at the point where I don't feel I can recommend them anymore. At least not on service related issues. The last time we had them come out they were able to make the refrigerator get colder but ever since that repair we've had fluid leaking out of the back of the refrigerator periodically. I have texted them I have called and left message regarding the issue with no response whatsoever. Now the fridge raider

I wanted to give an update to my last questions and reviews, I bought A Dryer and had problems with getting it fixed. An update is that it is now fixed. Kevin is the Owner and MaryAnn is his wife, they are a family business and they do attempt to do whatever they can to help and to get you the help you need for that purchase. Although it took a while to fix, the people were always nice and Kevin is the type that still cares about his reviews and trying to make things better for the industry and his family. Excellent customer service right at the door. Needed a part for my washer. They had part and explained how to install part or offered there services Very nice as I walked in, greeted me made eye contact. They have a six months warranty on there used appliances. Not bad. Its very hard now a days to find good customer service. In my opinion customer service is the worse I've seen ever. Not to mention the gouging$$ that is taking place at least in phx metro area.

Purchased a refurbished clothes dryer from Ted's appliances it wasn't drying totally on the designated cycle had to cycle two to three times called Kevin and Austin came out and cleaned out the pipeline to the roof there was a built up of lint now dryer works excellent, they were prompt in solving this problem they were professional and know their business! Prices are reasonable don't hesitate to call!

Do not trust the "6 month warranty" from this place. My washer started staining my clothes towards the end of the 6 month period. The owner came to my home to pick it up and said he needed help because of the stairs. Promised someone would come back. They never came or responded to my emails. Any time I called they would say they would call back and of course didn't.
They are repaired items but your purchasing at your own risk. Be aware!

I don't know why my original review didn't post correctly so I am trying again with less detail. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. Kevin charged way too much and kept my machine more than two weeks. He didn't answer calls and kept putting me off. I told him I didn't want to spend more than $500 to fix it, but it came to $686. To make it worse, he scratched the machine in multiple places and basically said, "We didn't do it." Never again.

I had a Whirlpool front loader Duet washer that was giving me two codes. Kevin came out and fiddled with it and said the pump was bad. I asked him if the pump could put out two codes and he said yet. He charged me $85 dollars for the part, a service charge and $125 for labor. I thought it was high. Then he tells me that he isn't getting a clicking noise from the computer module and it was still throwing off a code and not working. He said he had to take it to the shop. He said he didn't have the equipment on his truck to test it. This was Friday. He said I should have it back Monday

On 10-18-19 I took my wife's wine fridge in for repair and after not EVER hearing from them I kept calling them 3 or 4 times in the past year they kept telling me the part wasn't available so I went in today to ask about it and they said it conveniently got crushed by a refrigerator LAST WEEK.WHATEVER!!! I'm not buying it. Since they've had it no call no update EVER!!!

We left our wine refrigerator there and continually called to find out if they found the part yet that was needed to fix it. My husband called regularly. Went in Today and our wine refrigerator is GONE! Supposedly a refrigerator fell on it and crushed it. Really????? Didn't call and tell us???? We don't believe that story either. She said "well people leave there appliances here". My husband called and went in regularly. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!

I've called multiple times and spoke to different people about selling my used appliances. I've scheduled with the company a few times and every time there was an excuse of why they didn't come. "They forgot" "there was other business to take care of" how do you run a business without the customer service? I was late to work today due to waiting for Nick the "manager" his response when I called and asked if someone was coming because I was waiting. He said no he "totally spaced out and he had to come to the shop" No emotion, no customer care

Great buys here, my experience during the onset of the pandemic situation not one freezer was left anywhere, we tried Home Depot, Loews, Sears, etc then I found Ted's, the owner got me one that day from a distributor, he delivered it the same day. It was a good deal too since I compared it to Spencer's cost on the the exact freezer model it was way more expensive. Glad I found this place, I told family and friends to go there as well.

A-1 Ted's Appliances sent out Kevin. He was not wearing a mask. He was told we were both high risk and were not supposed to be around anyone without a mask. He refused. Put our lives in danger. Rambled on about talking to a lawyer, cancer...WHAT. TOTALLY inconsiderate of our health......when I told him to leave he looked at me like I was the crazy one...while AZ is at it's highest virus case rate. Didn't really care about the customer at all....Last time for them!

I wish there was a half star option for this business. Please do not use this business!!!!!! My senior parents called Ted's to come look at her oven that was not heating and for a burner that was not working properly. Service man came over and replaced the ignitor and a wire that he said was burnt. The service call took less than one hour and my mom was charged 260.00. The igniter is a 30 dollar part so she was charged 230.00 for the service call! This is outrageous and wrong in every way! She was also told that a part was ordered to fix her burner, that was over a month ago. Its a shame that

We are so impressed by the way everyone there took care of us bought a washer and dryer not to their fault it went out they came and fixed it the washer they gave me a loaner washer and fixed mine when we didn't think it was ever going to get fixed they are awesome if you have to go anywhere for a used appliance please please go to A1 Ted's Appliance.

Bought a washer and dryer from them approximately 3 years ago have had to have the guy come out and fix the dryer 3 times each time costing me $150. Washing machine just went out guy came out to look at it and said that the washing machine is completely broken and that these units are all garbage. Funny thing is they didn't mention how they were garbage to me when they sold them to me at $400 a piece. Still charged us $65 to come out and tell us that the unit they sold us was garbage. I used them for 20 years when Ted was alive. Now that he has passed his son has taken over. He installs the wrong parts and then refuses to come back an make it right. Had to pay another company to put in the correct part so I basically had to pay twice and Kevin at A-1 Ted's will not even acknowledge us. The service has gone way down hill over the last year.

I called them to see if they bought used appliances and spoke with Ted himself he said yes and they could come to get my fridge between 4-6 and I waited no one showed I called back and spoke to some one on their next business day and they said they would send some one . when the guy got here he loaded the fridge and said he was going to scrap it and would only get a few dollars so we could pay for his gas . First off the fridge is only 5yrs old but stopped cooling and was in good shape what a bunch of jerks I
