Our first time getting our fireplace and chimney checked out/cleaned and so glad we went with Black Magic Sweeps! They were timely, efficient, professional, friendly, followed COVID protocols, and went above and beyond with the service (fixing some issues with our chimney cap, etc.) and advice for keeping things in good repair. Their report also pointed out some things we can get taken care of for additional safety and reliability too. Highly recommended!

Friendly folks, solid work, and clear advice. Payment was easier than with a certain other sweep we called last year.
We had an appointment within a week. When they arrived they were super friendly, took the time to chat with us and say hello to the dog before getting to work.
Before we paid they provided a longevity update on our aging stove and chimney, firm that it won’t last much longer without pushing us to buy something then and there.
Really happy with the experience. We’ll call again.

James is great. Black Magic Sweeps probably prevented our apartment from burning down. After our old gas fireplace was leaking carbon monoxide, our landlord had a new one installed. The guy didn't install it correctly, and it ended up transferring most of the heat straight to the walls.
We called Black Magic, James was able to come out the same day, and he diagnosed the problem quickly. He got the right parts and installed a fan so that the heat circulated into the room instead of straight to the wall. The fireplace works so much better, and our walls are no longer crumbling and hot to the touch
