Met with a couple other contractors and I had the best feeling about Ramon. He came out right away and took a look at my kitchen and was there a couple days later taking measurements. I had some ideas in mind , but with his knowledge and creativity, he filled in the blanks for me. His crew completed a full kitchen remodel for us and even a couple little extras here and there at no additional cost. Ramon stopped by very regularly to check on the progress and the work was completed in the timeline given. They even were able to start ahead of schedule. I have received so many compliments on my kitchen

We used Velarde Builders to expand our backyard patio concrete deck by 500 sf. Due to this being a "smaller" job, we got very few answers to requests for bids and when we did, it was a very unprofessional bid. However, Ramon Velarde provided a professional bid with drawings/pictures and full scope of work with a progress payment schedule. Their workmanship was excellent and their workers were courteous. They cleaned up after each day and were prompt. I highly recommend Velarde Builders.

I was excited at first. This was a person who listened to my 1) limited funds, 2) need to do only the things that were necessary. A small job needed to be complete first.
The contract was not clear. The amount for each step of gh e project was listed. The work to be done was stated generally. After work started I realized that the wording of the contract represented the bid from another company. I paid the extra $2400. After great stress and distress, the job was completed. Good job yet not better than others. Extra painting was the added work. I felt totally taken.

As an Real Estate Agent, I have many transactions where we use contractors for repairs.
I utilized Velarde Builders to do work on one of my listings.
They did a great job! They were very quick to come and provide a bid. I absolutely love that they are like a "One Stop Shop." Work included termite, wood siding repair, replace a sliding door, rebuild two decks, landscaping, and stucco repair.
All work was done in a timely fashion. They left the house and yard clean.
Everyone in this transaction was happy with their work, which included not only the sellers but the buyers and two agents

We didn't know what to expect when we began seeking bids for our first home remodel. I read articles about what Homeowners should know and be aware of when looking for a contractor. That they are licensed and accredited is a must, and that they have an excellent reputation and have extensive references should go without saying.
Based on the advice that we gathered, and with our stamped plans in hand, we set out to look for a professional and established company. We took a total of 5 bids from different companies. At the last minute, a friend of mine mentioned that her family was in the construction
