Great team! Trevor is friendly, knowledgeable and a dog lover! Jim is a great ambassador for the company. Cannot say enough good things about Jim. Hannah from the office responded immediately to our inquires. I was surprised by how difficult the work was to prepare and install the piers. The 3 man team worked very hard. I first contacted BAU a few years back because the foundation kept moving on my 110 year old home. They recommended me putting in piers but I didn’t want to spend the money so just had them put jacks under the house. Unfortunately it was only a short term fix so I had them come back to do the piers. They were very understanding, gave me credit for the jacks I’d put in, and agreed to do the job for the same estimate as 4 years earlier. I live in Pleasanton, CA and got my houses's foundation fixes done last year in the Jan-March timeframe. The project was initially reviewed by Todd and all the proposed engineering work was done to the house.
About the project: The house had a few cracks in the wall only in the family room, whereas the rest of the house had no crack problem whatsoever. We approached the couple of leading foundation companies, compared their engineering proposal and finally proceeded with BAU as Todd was able to provide a more optimal solution with a competitive quote. I was glad to give this project to BAU.

I initially contacted Bay Area Underpinning for an estimate of foundation issue of my house. Darren performed measurements around the perimeter. He informed me the cause of ceiling and wall cracks. The estimate he provided was very reasonable. The proposal for repair is very detailed. Including samples of material to used, each cost with videos of repair. He answered all my questions.
The crew that performed the repair are very friendly and punctual of work rime. They completed the work to my satisfaction and on schedule.

Bay area underpinning was excellent! Very thorough with there Inspection, explained everything to us to fully understand what was the issue with my home and what exactly was needed . They did not try to sell me additional things that were not necessary or needed. I valued there expertise. I has other companies that tried to take advantage and over sell me om stuff that was not needed. All the staff kept us informed of everything that was going on at all times .
