Dan and Janet live in Strasburg Township and are members of New Providence Mennonite Church, where Dan serves as Trustee and Janet as Treasurer. They have three married children and five grandchildren. Dan enjoys rooting for the Phillies, hunting, fishing and outdoor activities in his free time. Janet enjoys vacationing with the family, watching sports, reading, bird-watching and outdoor activities with their grandchildren.

We were initially drawn to Metzler Home Builders because they were a Lancaster-based business that was family run for four generations. Very impressive. We interviewed a couple other builders, but we knew we had the right builder when we met with Jordan. We recently completed a custom home build with Metzler as our GC. This was a unique project in that our home is a modern one in an area where traditional homes are the norm. Throughout the process, Metzler's team worked with us during each step to "be a yes" to our requests, even if they were new/different/not the norm in their scope of work. We used some new/different materials and methods and it was never met with frustration or resistance; instead, these tasks were viewed as fun challenges that we could accomplish together. When my wife and I decided to build, it was an easy choice to proceed with Metzler Home Builders based on their reputation. We dealt with Jordan from day one and he guided us in every direction necessary to achieve what we wanted in our home. During the June 2016 Parade of Homes, we had the fortune of meeting Dan, Janet, and Jordan Metzler from Metzler Home Builders. At that time we were not looking to build a home, in fact we initially thought the process of building a home would be cost prohibitive and complicated. Metzler Home Builders recently finished building a detached garage on our property. We cannot be happier with the end result. Tim and Mike were so good to work with and we trusted their opinions because they have so much experience. The subcontractors also did a great job. They were very professional and always left the sight clean after their job was done. Our home was built by Metzlers back in the 80's so we have long term and short term experience with this business. I highly recommend Metzler Home Builders for any type of home remodel. We recently completed a kitchen renovation which included turning our garage into living space, removing the wall between our house and the garage, and adding a powder room.
