Foam insulation has been used as a specialty product in the building industry for over 50 years. It is widely known to be a safer, more effective alternative to other insulators e.g. Foam insulation comes in endless varieties. At Green Star Foam, the four most common types we spray are: lb., 1 lb, 2 lb, and 3 lb density foams.
In addition to spray foam, we also apply polyurea coatings. For the architect and designer, polyurea coatings are another incredible tool for solving various design related problems. Greenstar installed closed cell spray foam in the walls and floor of a master bathroom addition we are adding to our house. The estimator was responsive and knowledgeable. The installer was meticulous. Strongly recommend.

Foam insulation is the best method for our New England climate. It is more expensive than batt insulation but has a much better ability to keep out mold and drafts.

Sol & his crews are pleasant, efficient, and cost effective. I have used them for commercial applications as well as my own house and recommend them accordingly.

I was surprised to see prior negative reviews on Green Star's performance. They installed insulation in my home last weekend and I found Sol and his team to be highly professional, provided an excellent install and made sure in advance that all ducts were sealed (they weren't and fixed them), etc. In other words, unlike their competitors, it wasn't a slam bam and be gone. They were thoughtful, careful, meticulous and conscientious. Prior to hiring them, we received a quote from one of their competitors and I was very unimpressed with their lack of professionalism, lack of understanding

I had high hopes that this would work out but sadly it did not. I obtained a quote from them in the spring. I was excited to have my attic cleaned and insulated. When given the quote, I did not realize we'd have to be out of the house for 24 hours. I found that out when they went to schedule the job. With 2 busy high school students, I had to schedule it a bit out for after school was out as I couldn't interrupt studies, finals, etc. to have it done earlier. I also work from home so needed to plan for a couple of days off. We planned ahead to be out of the house and stay at a hotel

Happily we had a different experience than the previous reviewers. We are very pleased with the work Greenstar performed. They stuck to the quoted amount (we did 1/2 the project only), and we asked for a revised contract for the exact amount of the project before it started. The crew was very professional. Prepared the area thoroughly and left the area clean. We had a small problem with the cable for our TV getting buried in the wall. I called Sol and he told us what we should do. Then he came back and repaired the area that we had to hunt around in. He also touched up areas around the windows

Unfortunately, Sol, the owner, deemed it necessary to continue to lie here. He statesthat he contacted us, but he never did. And he actually did not respond to our reminders!
After this posting, we were also notified by another user who had the same bad experience with this company.
We love to reward outperformers, as can be seen, but we also hold contractors accountable who are so rude to waste our time by not following up. Even a call of 'I cannot do it' would have been better than none at all. Old fashioned ethical service providers still do this, but they are rare like a hen&apos
