Matt Nunnally in Charlotte/ Monroe came out to do an inspection and supppsed sweep. Matt was informative but you could tell he was looking for any excuse to not pass our chimney to have to clean it. He tried to overly sell us a new chimney cap for 800 because he didn't think he could get our current one off without breaking it to even do inspection. After reading all reviews on this company it seems that's how they may their money off their clients. The second reason he did not pass our chimney was due to creosote buildup which is why we called a chimney sweeper to begin with. When I messages him

Elizabeth was an immensely professional, conscience, careful, and thorough solution to our home. We are buying a 100 year old house and have needed a team of people to expertly assess the state of the home and its future health. After our 110 year old farm house was damaged by a tornado I contacted Alex with Emberstone. He came out quickly to look at our two damaged chimneys one of which was completely down to the roofline. Knowing that our roof could not be repaired until the chimneys where, he and his crew came on a weekend to do the repairs as soon as possible. Alex called to say he was a few minutes early, which was perfect for me. He was professionally dressed and very polite! He inspecting two fireplaces in a home we are looking to purchase and did a very thorough job, took many pictures and measurements, and explained everything he found and what might cause the those issues. He also had the report to me within 15 minutes. If you have any fireplace needs from a safety inspection to new inserts etc I highly recommend Emberstone!

Emberstone came out and did my dryer vent cleaning + chimney inspection and sweep service, I was so surprised that they cover all of the raleigh/durham, nc area and yet were able to give me a prompt appointment date and show up to do an on-site quote in a very short amount of time. The chimney inspection technician seemed knowledgeable and the dryer vent cleaning guy really loves his job, having so much fun while maintaining a much welcomed professionalism you don't see often with service providers these days. I had my chimney swept in January and was very impressed. Our technician (I wish I could remember his name!) was knowledgeable and friendly. He took special care to keep my house clean as he did his work. He showed me pictures of my chimney, explained what he was showing me and told me what to look for in the future. Great customer service! I would definitely recommend Emberstone and will use again.
