We can service all varieties of natural stone flooring materials, including marble, granite, limestone, slate, and flagstone. Our stone services apply to floors, shower walls, countertops, and medallions, and we specialize in the 'final clean, polish and seal' often needed after construction or renovation.
Marble is a rock resulting from the metamorphism of sedimentary carbonate rocks, most commonly limestone or dolomite rocks. Metamorphism causes variable recrystallization of the original carbonate mineral grains. Marble comes in many different colors and designs. Pure white marble is the result of metamorphism of a very pure limestone.
Terrazzo is a composite material, poured in place or precast, which is used for floor and wall treatments. It consists of chips of marble, quartz, granite, glass, or other suitable material, poured with a cementitious binder (for chemical binding), polymeric (for physical binding), or a combination of both.

General Flooring Services Inc. cleaned our residential marble floor in our dining area. They responded really quickly to our inquiry and provided a very competitive price, with a discount for it being a small space. The crew was on time, professional, and very tidy. I am happy to say that General Floor Services did an outstanding job on my marble floors. Not only did they polish them beautifully, but they were able to remove several large deep scratches. This is the second time they have polished my floors and both experiences were perfect. The floors look as new as the day they were installed.

Working with Melvin and his team had been a great experience. Melvin was very responsive from start to finish -- promptly emailed me with an estimate and availability. His team was meticulous and professional in carrying out the work. The result was a stain- and stretch-free marble floor that is nicely polished and sealed--all priced competitively. Melvin was very accommodating in working me into his busy schedule. I needed the work done ASAP because I had guest arriving and my marble floors were in need of repair: water spots, scratches, dullness and lack of maintenance had caused them to look horrible regardless of how I tried cleaning them. He was excellent in communications, arrived on time, was very professional and answered all my questions. When he and his associate finished, the floors looked great and oh so shiny.
